Just got an 80 lb. bag from Outslayer, bag itself is great but it keeps popping off the spring after a few solid strikes.

It's mounted to an I-beam with an i-beam mount > climbing carabiner > spring > bag.

Anyone else experience a similar problem or have suggestions to remedy it?

    Thanks

Try to curve the ends of your spring a bit more. Mine are quit curved and never got that problem. Or get a spring with closed ends.

    Hope it helps

Thanks for the tip, I feel like i'd need at least a vise to make that happen though.

If it gets much smaller I wont get the bag on in the first place.

Unfortunately it's not a double ended bag, otherwise I'd just weight the bottom.

Can you post a picture ?

Could be because of the weight of the heavy bag. 80lbs is not a lot. Also depends how much you weight and how hard you hit.

In the meantime, you could kinda close the gap with a little wrapped duct tape or something. Is there a downside? I don't think so

    Thanks everyone for replies.

Zip tied the bag to the spring for the time being, only on the hook so it doesn't impair the springs ability to do it's job. It's working for now while I wait on a double closed loop spring and a second carabiner.
