At the age of 23 he fought for the title in PRIDE FC which had the best heavyweights at that time. He literally fought the best in the world and retired at the age of 30 in UFC.

We will never see that kind of heavyweight in UFC at the age of 25 who will fight for the title today, i know that fighters were on steroids but come on! Heath Herring took the fights and was close to win some fights such as Fedor and Nogueira.

I am impressed of him, the question is will Rizin try to pick him up in the near future?

Pretty low standard for "Legend" status.

He was fun to watch back in the day though.

Not legend but definitely came to fight.

His most iconic moment for me was beating Mark Kerr in a very symbolic fight which could have been billed as "Fighter" vs. "Wet Blanket."

The Japanese went livid when Heath kneed him into oblivion for the stoppage.

He needs to jump in the Rizin Gp with Fedor, Tito, Frank Mir, CC, and Wand.

Close to a win over Fedor? That's gotta be one of my top 5 one sided beat downs. Herring showed guts, as he always did, but Fedor smashed him.

"He tries to kiss me on the lips like a homosexual. I'm not gay! I'm not gay!"

    Immortal words from Mr. Herring.
