Hear that silence?.........It's so beautiful.

The only thing worse than the Sage "hype" is the Sage hate

What's scary is that according to RDA statement on MMA Hour 315 (02:48:22) looks like RDA is very confident to be able to stand and trade with CMcG.
He even said that Connor is not gonna bring something new for him. I really don't think so and i'm really hoping RDA is not gonna underestimate McG as JA did. He must make it easier and mix things up and start slowly

I hope he goes to his A game that way when Conor weathers the storm then beats his ass the Haters will have nothing to stand on.

Notice how all of the Sage craze has magically disappeared for the most part? Notice how the number of Sage threads have rapidly decreased? You can expect something similar after Conor loses to RDA and then afterwards losses the FW title to Edgar.

Here's something that Conor fans need to realize

Conor has never faced an elite fighter who is also a good wrestler the same size as him. Don't think for a second that his size at FW wasn't a big reason he was able to keep most of his fights standing. If he even gets taken down once, it could be game over for him. Not simply because of the threat of submission, but because he's facing a guy that isn't going to tire out or allow him to get back up. RDA doesn't even have to get him down. If he is able to grab Conor and take the fight to the cage Conor is in deep trouble. This is where RDA is most dangerous and could unload on Conor with strikes at any moment. People are brainwashed into thinking that Conor can't be hurt but RDA can and will hurt anybody with his striking at this stage. Just look how his recent opponents heads snap back after every punch he lands. Conor isn't going to be able to just walk into punches in this fight.

People think that RDA can only wrestle Conor if he's against the cage but I don't believe this to be true. Conor is way too aggresive with his striking to be ready to defend a takedown from RDA, A man who will be the same size as him on fight night. He won't be able to get away with doing that spinning shit and still being able to defend takedowns like he did at FW. Conor is getting taken down in this fight at some point and he's going to be in big trouble when it happens.

Most of you fans are banking on a knockout which is possible but those chances greatly diminish if RDA chooses to fight smart and mix it up. If RDA does fight smart I don't see how Conor wins this fight to be honest outside of a flash KO but obviously anything can happen. For the record. I am in no way saying that Conor can't win this fight. I'm not like these Mcgregor nuthuggers that think their boy is some mythical creature who can't ever have anything negative happen to him in an MMA fight without an excuse. As much as I don't like Conor I know that he is a special talent who is extremely dangerous. I just think he bit off a little more than he can chew with this one. RDA can definitely lose this fight if he gets caught or can't take Conor down and gets too cocky with his striking. Conors TDD is overrated due to the size advantage he had at FW. Mark my words.

My prediction is that Conor will look lost on the mat after being taken down and will eventually be submitted via rear naked choke. There ain't going to be any of this "Oh, he was just being stationary on the ground against Medes because he was conserving energy" BS in this fight. RDA will make Conor work to survive on the ground. I don't buy all of this crap that Conors coach spews out about how we will all be surprised about his wrestling, ground skills, ect. He plays mind games just like Conor does. Trying to bait RDA into a slugfest.

Shut up.

I hate Conor fan, but you sound like a hater right now. Conor his a really good fighter.Elite I might say. (but I think RDA will beat him.)

No one has to like him, but his skill has to be acknowledged, he IS the second UFC FW Champion, one doesn't get there by being a bum. And he is schedulled to fight for the LW belt, how many champions fight outside their weightclass DURING their reign? Usually they explore that possibility after they lost the belt and don't have a TS in sight. That has to account for him having balls/being a little crazy.

I don't like his talking, generally don't watch(or read) interviews and shows(of any fighter really, also his accent is hard for me to understand) but I do like watching him fight, he has that going. It's hard to deny that he's entertaining to watch, but I'm not rooting for him or against him, unless he fights my fevourites, at FW Lamas, Mendes and Edgar, at LW Cerrone, Khabib, Diaz, Barboza.

I don´t see any possible way, besides a miracle KO, to Conor win this fight

Even before going full retard, Aldo dodges Conor´s 'all might left' with a minor head movement, like it was nothing, like it was slow motion, maybe that´s when he takes Conor for granted and goes for that wild stupid cross

And 2 week (fast weight cut and media obligation) mini mendes totally exposed him, and he is a blown up bantamweight like conor himself likes to say, imagine what a power of a lightweight will do to Conor in wrestling.

There is no way Conor is stoping RDA takedowns

And Conor loves to counter but forget head movement taking a lot of clean shots to the head, it worked in FW, and he did well eating Mendes punches, who is a hard hitter, but i don´t think he will be alright eating RDA´s shots, nobody in LW is being able to take RDA´s shots they all start to get defensive to try to recover, if Conor stands in place to bang he will fall.

goodnight sage

Will bump this when mcgregor stuffs the takedown and knocks out RDA stiff.

When was RDA's last submission anyway ?

Two things:

1) Do people on here actually just ENJOY the fights? Or is it just the vocal minority that is so invested in making sure everyone thinks someone has to be "exposed" in order for them to be happy? Its a fucking superfight, ffs. We got denied so many of them and now we've got one. I, for one, am thrilled, regardless of who wins.

2) Who PRECISELY does McGregor have to beat and HOW before threads that start with some flavour of "He has never faced X" just end? Or are you one of those guys who also thinks RDA isn't the "real" LW champ because he got beat by Khabib once upon a time?

You don't have to LIKE the fucking guy, but stop dismissing his abilities AND his opponents.

He's looking to challenge himself. BJ Penn still has a great legacy despite his defeat. Considering McGregor can make 145, and RDA himself said there's no way he can, McGregor is the one moving up to challenge himself- and there is no shame whatsoever if he loses in my opinion. This is totally different now to the Aldo fight. He has everything to gain and nothing to lose.

No one blames Penn for getting beaten down by bigger fighters having gone up, and once the dust settles- no one will give Conor shit either. And that's assuming he does actually lose, he could of course win.

LOL @ any comparison to Penn.

McGregor fucking kills himself to make FW. He's actually bigger than RDA.

Hype trains never die, they just get parked until they need to be dusted off and pulled once again.

Sage losing like that may be the best thing that ever happened to him. People know when they see talent and potential.

I don't think Sage will be a goat, but he has serious potential and its clear that he was one of the worst fighters to have entered the octagon in a long time, well until Gall vs Cameraman

I take a couple of minutes of my work day to look up some interesting threads. Then you get a TS who writes a book--no gainfully employed person has time for that shit! I like my thread starters like my flyweights, short and sweet.

Best gif reply I've seen in a while.

LOL...so good right? Wish I could take credit for making it, but I didn't. There are 4-5 great ones with the Rogan kettle-bell jive.
