I'll start by saying that I think this is winnable for Tony. Truly.
All other threads cover the bases and voting.

Tell me that I am reading too much into this but...

Paddy is clearly not the world champ material that they promoted his hype for.
I believe that this fight is a career Tjunction for him.

Lose to Tony and his stock drops massively.
Win and you've beaten a guy on a huge decline and losing streak.
Paddy has to win this.

I like to imagine that the pink goof is considering ways of low balling the Scouse fraggle because they recognise he is a hollow cash cow.

Come at me bro.

He did it himself by having that friars haircut and god awful accent. I was just in Liverpool last week and I took a couple of small flat head screwdrivers and drove them into my ears until it was a fountain of blood from both ear holes just so I didn’t have to hear the scoucers.

A Bobby Green pairing would have matched your phony narrative well; but I get that you're reaching hard for any reaction to your post.

I know that if my thread is way off the mark, that tumbelweed will blow through the empty town and it will die of hunger.
However, with your low post count to age, and commenting in here - I can only assume that you are indeed, Paddy's mother.

Absolutely they do. He's got a big enough following but not enough that he can make his own rules like a mcgoober or honda for example.

Ferg is for sure playing gatekeeper here, which is about as much as he's good for nowadays unfortunately.

But for a guy like paddy who's "fun" at best it's a very dangerous fight. Lose and he'll have to play ball from now on, win and he has a semi decent name on his resume.

I think you gotta ask yourself: Who do you think will win? Or who do you think UFC thinks will win? Do they have a motive besides finding two men a fight?

If youre gonna look at it Glass Half Full...
Paddy loses: He lost to a former champ. One of the greatest lightweights ever. Albeit on a decline its Paddy's first UFC loss
Tony loses: He's building one of the steepest L records ever. Rivaling the King Alvey

This story is all about Tony. I'm scared of this fight. But it's the fight I never conceived or knew I wanted

Actually, they're trying to give him the safest fight with the biggest name value possible, that this goes over your head is weird to me.
What you say would make sense, if I thought that Paddy was going to win.
Not only do I think that Tony will win, but he will beat him down.

There is no safety in that. The risk of Paddy losing against Tony on a 6 fight skid is enormous. They will have considered that.
