How many more steps till we get there?Another step in The handmaid's tale coming true.
seems to take forever.

No, I get that. I genuinely do. However I’m speaking about these MAGA types who have podcasts, constantly post on X, aren’t married, no children, etc. Why the fuck are they not in the kitchen practicing what they preach? It is in the Bible.
The Word of God proclaims, “A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent”
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
No and we should be open about certain cultures being better than others specifically regarding this.Should the US be like every Islamic country on the planet?
Do you think this is good advice?
What about something else?
BuT tHe MuSliMs!!You've basically just described every Islamic country on the planet.
Paula White is the source lmao.
Rawstory just wrote an article about her quotes.
You are no doubt gonna end up on RFK's autism registry
Just google "Paula White submit" and you'll find 50 articles quoting her
The issue is that this isn’t a majority held belief amongst Christians, when it is amongst Muslims. I think it’s worthwhile to point that out since this is trying to frame Christianity as a whole agreeing with this person.BuT tHe MuSliMs!!
Seems like Christian’s are non-practicing muslims.

The Ayatollah would be proud.
American culture is exceptional, not superior Adolf. No and we should be open about certain cultures being better than others specifically regarding this.
how would we go about doing that?No and we should be open about certain cultures being better than others specifically regarding this.
The Ayatollah of Rock n Rola himself even donated to trumps campaign smh.
The irony is lost on them. You've basically just described every Islamic country on the planet.

The difference is they actually follow their holy book. Christians don’t.Nah. We like beer, whiskey and bacon. We think dogs are cool. And while we're fine with the whole female submission thing, we'd rather the hot ones wore bikinis at the beach instead of dressing like ninjas.
Islam is just Christianity with all the fun sucked out of it.
It is in the laws of the faith, but the passage meaning is often twisted around just like in this narrative. The man is the leader of the family, but he has the hefty responsibility of putting his wife's well-being before his own, which so often (and indeed in this case) gets left out of the equation. Husbands are instructed to love their wives "just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." This emphasizes a self-sacrificial love that seeks the well-being and holiness of the wife, mirroring Christ's love for the church. This isn't how your typical chauvinistic slob tries to frame it.The issue is no one should ever let religious stupidity dictate laws of a Country. Not your preferred flavor of Abrahamic subjugation. Christianity absolutely agrees with this person, it's in their laws of faith. The fact that Christianity had to adjust itself to not seem barbaric towards women by ignoring it's own mandates should be a huge red flag, not a reason to defend it.
