I am getting headaches every time I hear people saying that and then being trashed inside the cage. UFC hype game is terrible, I dont know who is to blame, UFC or fighters itself failing miserably at promoting themselves.

I dont have a clue how can they promote themselves differently to be more realistic but repeating the same shit all over is just getting old, especially for someone like me who following this sport for years.

I am not imprezzed by your performance

Get a stick and get in the octagon when someone calls you out, that's how you promote yourself

it's not the fuck you're facing...it's the face you're fucking.

this thread made my head hurt

Theres a button on your remote called mute.

Use it.

Hahaha. TS is right. It is one of those classic old MMA cliches we have heard a billion times.

It's right up there with "I'm in the best shape of my life."

This is how you sell a fight, dummy

"I'm sour, tired, under the weather, overtrained and undermotivated and still tough enough to beat this guy."

Also "best training camp ever, amazing coaches", "easiest weight cut ever" and "I'm always in shape and training"

"First of all I want to thank my lord and savior Geezus Kriest."

Another one I'm sick and tired of hearing:
"He/she has holes in his/her game."

I'm better everywhere

Yeah once you've seen enough promos and heard enough trash talk you've pretty much heard them all.

"I come to fight"

I mean there are a ton of things fighters tell themselves to help build up their confidence. Over time, certain ones have proven more effective to certain psychologies. Is normal.

What should they say "I'm scared to fight him and it will only get worse when I'm called to walk out and on top of that I'm nervous in front of the media and I feel pretty weak right now so tune in and watch me do whatever I can manage on Saturday"??

Just what - exactly - do you recommend fighters say that HASN"t become a cliche' at this point?
