that's not really confirming it still has no date, no venue, no network. Also team Alvarez has not been contacted yet. to exercise a rematch clause you don't just say "I'll do it" you actually have to have someone go over the contract. this isn't just going to be they tell alvarez a day in advanced he has a fight. maybe it's just a formality and they know they have 4 weeks, or maybe the contract has to have a tv deal and purse amount before it can be officially submitted.

Would DAZN be able to even afford this fight as the contract is, we will see, I wish I knew the details. but I talked to someone that knows Yvon Michel and he thinks the fight gets made. Yvon Michel is setting aside 2 date in montreal. Kathy wants it in new jersey but it looks like Kovalev has a long "suspension" in the state of NJ because of the knockout. (they often take a few months up sometimes up to 6)
