Whats up guys I just moved from my home in Lakewood, CA which is considered LA county. I need a new "home" and I was wondering if anyone has trained at the HB Ultimate Training Center? Tiki and Razor Rob are the trainers there. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. I'm mainly looking for MT gym because thats my background, I was looking for a job as a trainer but no one wants to give me a chance so I guess I'm back to sqaure one as a pug. Any help would be great.

I have never worked out there but the gym looks like it is well equiped. I used to fight out of Pistons gym in Westminster on Locust St. (One block over from Golden West at Westminster Blvd). The trainer is Yuki and he was a world champion ifghter. He has one curent world champion there now with many fighters from Japan coming through the gym.

dude can you tell me about the gym!? I heard Yuki was a good trainer, he knows my trainer and they're old buddies.

Yeah it is located in DG boxing gym and he teaches at night time (No day classes). Several world champions still pass throiugh there including a good friend of mine Joe Arce. a usual workout goes like this:

3 rounds jumping rope
3 rounds of shawdow boxing
6 or 7 rounds of heavy bag training
3 or 4 rounds of focus mits and kick pads
As many rounds as you can spar.

The gym has two rings, aboiut 8 good heavy bags , 4 of them thai bags.
Large area for shawdow boxing.

Yuki knows me well just ask him about the cop who trains in JJ and used to fight for him in Thai boxing.

Yuki has fihgters from around the world come through that gym. It is a ghetto looking gym that is all about fihgting and nothing else. No cardio kickboxing classes there. Yuki can get you fights from local ones to Thai land to Japan if you want. If you go there let me know and I will pass by, I need to say hello to Yuki.

Hey I Pmed you Cop! can you pm the number?

could be but right now I'm more interested in JJ Cop's school. My trainer vouches for Yuki even though they both clashed at times. I hope hes affordable.

It seems like every gym in So Cal costs an arm and a leg. I train in Irvine and I know the starting price for BJJ only is about $125 per month. I started training two years ago, right before MMA really EXPLODED, so I was able to sign up for unlimited BJJ/MuayThai/Everything for $99 a month. I thought it was a lot at the time, but now that's relatively cheap compared to what new guys are paying.

yea theyre all so hard to afford. btw ive heard nothing but good things about the westminster DG gym. but theyre boxing and you're into muay thai no?

I guess JJ cop is saying that inside the Boxing gym is another school run by Yuki and yeah I'm more into MT than boxing. DG is probably one of the most expensive boxing gyms I've seen. When I was a kid the guy would charge my parents $40.00 for a month plus mitts from the apprentice trainers. But eveything is going up theses days, its just hard to afford these places when you 20 and trying to go to school at the same time.

I PM'd you with the telephone number. Have fun :icon_chee

I've been training at DG Boxing for the past 8 or 9 years now and i go to HB Ultimate for their jiu-jitsu classes and to spar with their MT guys. They're both great gyms but DG Boxing is now under new ownership and is no longer called DG. Both gyms offer great muy thai instructors however HB is kind of pricy.
