I see a lot of threads about people visiting and I'm bored so I figured I'd help. If you have any questions about Oahu and the Big Island, I'll do my best to help.

Big Island of Hawaii, Hawaii

Volcano National Park (Kilauea)

for information on the park http://www.nps.gov/havo/index.htm

Experience giant lava tube caves and guided tours to watch the lava flow. I'd suggest watching the lava flow at night.

I'll update this when I can think clearer

Try Plate Lunches while you're in Hawaii. If you don't know where to go you can't go wrong with L'n'L or Kalbi Express ( Kalbi Express being the better of the two)

Hawaiian Plate Lunch

If you visit the Big Island also Make sure to Visit Kailua, Kona. Its a Two Hour Drive from Hilo but its worth the drive.

Look at all the white people you'll feel at home

Lots of great shops down there, t-shirts, Hena shops, scuba diving, surfing, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, kayaking, whatever you want to do.

One more thing the Band Pepper is from Kona.

Magic Sands, Kailua-Kona

Medium strength waves good place to boogie board or surf. People always play volley ball on the beach and nevermind people joining in. So go make some friends

If you want something with a little more grit and you're a hippie you may enjoy Pahoa.

Trying to find accurate pictures on google and they distort everything to make it look nicer. Its a ghetto hipster hippie town, I went to elementary school in that town. Anyone else from around here would tell you the same thing.
