I'm having a lot of difficulty gaining/maintaining muscle and weight in general. I'm currently in school for Nursing and that's taking most of my time and energy.

The issue isn't with exercise though, I'm having a lot of issues with eating enough. The main issue is that I take Adderall xr for school, but that absolutely destroys my appetite. It also makes eating very hard because I have to pretty much force it down. Sometimes I cheat and stuff myself with Burger Kings when the effects of the meds wear off. Even off the meds, I find it hard to reach my daily amount of calories.
I'm lean at 5'6" 143 lbs. I bike a lot (less now with school) and workout with weights around 3 days a week.

I could use some tips for foods that are high in calories and good for muscle growth (aside from feasting upon McDonald's).
btw I'm not a good chef

Create protein shakes with banana's and PB, fat bombs, bring a tub of peanut butter and have 1 spoonfull every 1-2 hours, this way its easier to pallet and doesn't seem overwhelming like an entire meal, just watch your fat/pro/carb ratios. There's tons of high calorie foods that can be healthy. Search this forum and see if you can find the old recipe thread, it had some awesome ideas.

That being said, sleep and stress will definitely make your weight fluctuate a lot. You are identical to my size and probably schedule also. Invest in Balkan yogurt also, it can be made tastier if you dislike the plain one with some honey, walnuts or oats etc. Balkan yogurt made my life easier for food as i grew tired of PB.

I've heard nursing is a huge pain in the ass, hardly any time to do shit.

Just got to eat more, bigger portions or just food high in carbs and protein

Just do a quick Google search of bulking meals plans etc and you'll find a ton of ideas on what to eat

I'm surprised the thought didn't occur to me to try and use shakes instead of solid food. That idea alone actually helps a lot.
Never really tried yogurt so I'll give a try.
Thanks

Holy shit it is.

Holy shit it is.
Few years of hard work in education and then at least it's finished and worth it

But the job itself when you eventually are in that field is stressful so good luck

If your hospital is run properly, its not too stressful unless you're in emerg.
