Mods add a poll plz.

Has Conor gained respect for his antics by sticking it to the UFC ? Or do you think he's been going about this completely wrong way and behaving overly dramatic/unprofessional?

I certainly haven't gained any. Haven't really lost any either. The guy bluffed and got called. I guess I'll form my opinion based on where it goes from here.

the little respect i had left for him has completely evaporated since Tuesday.

With all the traffic he generates, he has the pull now.

Lost a lot

I had more respect for him for showing up at the post presser & taking this hard loss like a man
I had a lot of respect prior to the fight.
He agreed to fight Nate on his terms & could have easily said no.

Now after all his talk of 'co-promotion', he won't even show up for what he contractually agreed to & Zuffa has bent over backwards to accommodate him.

Tough being a Conor fan the past few days!

Never had respect for him anyway

He's not someone who should be respected

What pull?

Zuffa will make hundreds of millions in 2016 with Conor
Conor does not make a dime without Zuffa
lol

It's a pretty crappy situation. Of course the UFC want to have their trash talking media sweetheart front and center for UFC 200 but Conor lost and wants to train properly. It wasn't handled very well by either party and the fans don't get to watch Conor defend his title which is what we all really want at this point.

LOST.

Looking a complete turncoat, hypocrite, can't take his own medicine, a cowardy custard, a true bullshitter even though we see through it all and a mental midget crumbling before our very eyes.

Still respect his achievements considering he's an Irish pikey

I respect him, but I'm not a fan.

He did amazing things with his marketing and skill. How can you deny it? He is a bit of a legend, already.

However, he was too proud and unreasonable. His skills would never translate to larger weight classes, especially not against and iron-jawed, boxing expert like a Diaz.

When RDA pulled, he should have waited for the right fight. Taking that Nate Diaz fight will haunt him his whole life.

That is off

He took every fight he could.
He agreed to fight or fought Mendes, Aldo & RDA/Nate in an 8 month period

Win or lose he is rare in that people still follow him. Others lose and people don't care.

That is popularity & of course I agree
But if he is not at that presser at 2pm today, then he has lost a lot of "pull"

No it's not off
He doesn't have the sort of character people should respect

Someone like gsp is someone to respect and I really am not a fan of gsp and personally find his fights boring but he's a human being worthy of respect

He handles business and himself very well

Conor acts like a petulant little diva who shoots his mouth of all the time

I didn't like Chael but at least with Chael his grandiose arrogant persona was a persona!

It's been a bit of a roller coaster for me. At first I was like He's a moron, then he dropped the FB post, and I was like ok I hear you Conor, then he flip flopped with this #YourMove bs. He clearly wants to fight, but he's acting like a fucking child. Airing it all out on social media just exposed how immature and silly he is. That goes for Kavanagh to. He should know better but it seems like he's just goading him into it.

Life is not absolute
You can dislike someone, but respect how they handle some things

As an MMA fighter, he deserved a LOT of respect
This is an MMA forum & that is in the equation

I don't have a lot of respect for how Nick handles himself, but I respect what a warrior he is in the octagon.
I don't like RR as a person, but respect what she did for WMMA

The ts didn't ask that. He asked if you respect Conor.
I don't, and I don't beleive Conor has anything to be respected

Basically you are saying that even someone you don't respect has some quality but that goes for everything, it's like You could say Oscar pistorius isn't someone to respect but then you can flip it and say well he did achieve a lot in running.
But Conor's behaviour, Way he handles himself isn't repsectable in my view

Gsp or fedor managed to be huge for example and are widely respected

Conor isn't widely respected apart from his fan bois

It's been widely reported he isn't well liked by other pros
