Have you ever predicted an upset in MMA?

I didn't openly predict it, but I had a gut feeling that Bisping would beat Rockhold and Cejudo would beat Demetrious.

I predicted that I would be upset if Conor beat Nate, and I was.

When Ronda vs Holly was announced, I had a vision of it going the exact way it went, but I wasn’t confident enough to call it or put money on Holly.

I also had a feeling Tim Elliott would guillotine Mighty Mouse. Close enough.

Randy Couture predicted Gabriel Gonzaga over Cro-cop in 2007.

Now that’s the best call I’ve seen. Cro cop won the OWGP 6 months earlier.

I picked both diaz over mcgregor and tate over holm.

For some strange reason Werdum handing Fedor his first legitimate loss. Just had a feeling about it. Also McGregor vs Diaz I didn't say outright Diaz would win but everyone had written him off and I said his cardio, boxing, durability and length would cause Conor some real problems.

Massive Euro homer here and while in the build-up to the fight I thought the odds were about even on the day of the fight something clicked, I got an 'oh shit' feeling and I just knew Till was going to get his clock cleaned when he faced Woodley. Judging from some of the comments I saw on the day of the fight, I think this was a common reaction.

Wasn’t surprised the day after the fight when I saw on Sherdog that Diaz gogoplata’d Gomi.

Well, that’s the biggest upset I’ve predicted. How about you?
You weren't surprised to hear that Nick pulled off a gogoplata? Did you really envision the fight ending like that?

I predicted Nate Diaz over Conor. Made couple hundred off a $40 bet. I predicted Jones over Shogun. I forget who else. But I've called a few. Oh Woodley was an underdog too right? I picked him to win. I picked a KO. I was close. I think one of those elbows put him out, but he knocked him back awake.

I have once.

Takanori Gomi vs. Nick Diaz in 2007.

I don’t know how many of you people were on this forum from 2005-2007, but about 90% of the people here kissed Pride’s ass.

Most people here were like “OMG, Pride Rules!! UFC sucks!!!” And a lot of people were predicting Gomi over Diaz.

I had seen Nick compete against Sean Sherk in 2006, and Nick held his own. The fight was pretty much a draw. Diaz stuffed a lot of Sherk’s takedowns.

Sean Sherk then went on to annihilate Kenny Florian in October 2006 to win the UFC LW championship.

I had also seen Diaz eat bombs from Robbie Lawler and Joe Riggs, and not get wobbled and keep going. So I thought since he took shots from those two, hung with Sherk, he’d do jussst fine against Gomi. Hell, I picked Diaz over Gomi on MMAplayground.com

Wasn’t surprised the day after the fight when I saw on Sherdog that Diaz gogoplata’d Gomi.

Well, that’s the biggest upset I’ve predicted. How about you?

In all fairness, surely you were surprised that it was a gogo though :D

that was quite a fight...and what a finish.

Conor Aldo, Conor was a slight dog just before the fight.
Aldo against Stephens, felt Aldo still had too much class for that gatekeeper.
Stipe against Ngranu

I knew Weidman was going to annihilate Silva, both times.

I did NOT however, anticipate the broken leg

I predicted Weidman over Anderson, and Holm over Rousey. I

I picked Tyron last night, and gaethje vs Vick. Those were easy sportsbook cash

Same.

I wanted to see how much of a favourite WoidlWo was because I thought Till had some skill, but to find Woodley was the dog stunned me. Just wish I went harder.

Won some nice bread on,

Bisping (vs Rockhold)
Garbrandt (vs Cruz)
Bellew (vs Haye I)
