Was just wondering since a lot of you are athletes, MMA fighters, keyboard warriors, and etc...

Have any of you ever been a fight and how did it go down?

I bet most people have but it's nothing to be proud of.

Yes. A few times. And ^^ is right. It's nothing to be proud of...or really ashamed about. It just happens sometimes.

Yes. More than once. But I have managed to avoid many more by generally remaining calm and talking things through. I am more proud of that. Back in my college days though my friends always wanted to hang out in the scummiest bars in town. So sometimes confrontations were unavoidable.

inb4 keyboard warrior stories.

Not really a fight but I was going out with this girl and we were at the dance floor and this drunk idiot kept on coming at her. I tried to tell him to fuck off but after a minute or so he would come at her again. I wasn't angry but more like very annoyed by him so I just pushed and tripped him to the ground and he fell real hard on his ass. I felt kinda bad for the idiot tbh since I am sure he was badly hurt the way he fell on the ground.

Never been in a fight at a bar or club. Extracurricular activity that I'm not interested in.

SherdogGoat victory 1st road via TPD (Technical Push Down)

I accidentally hit a girl in the head with my beer bottle on the dance floor. Does that count?

The one I was actually proud of was where these creepy guys went and sat with my sister and her mate. They took an immediate disliking to me, probably because I'm a dick and know how to make tick people off, so things started getting heated when they don't have a sense of humour and they both went for me, so I pushed one of them into a bouncer and put myself in a vulnerable stance and acted innocent. The bouncer turned round and threw them both out, but that didn't turn into a fight so not sure if it counts.

Most of the times I actually fight is when one of my loud-mouth friends gets jumped or a group of roid heads like to pick a fight with the quiet guy with a group of girls (when I'm with my GF, sister etc).

Yup, when I was younger it was almost every week, like others have said its nothing to be proud of. If bumped into me in a club about 10 years ago, I'd give myself a slap, which like likely result in a fight..

actually the opposite for me.

i have single handedly broken up every single fight i have seen, and i have also prevented every single fight ever that i sensed was going to happen.

nah but seriously, not interested in getting in fights. i do try to steer clear of them when ever i can. you do get those dbags trying to start you, i do get riled up but i tend to walk away. i have got hit by a bouncer before though. i was a young and 18, drunk and peaking my balls off. from what my friends told me, i was refused entry but then i didnt like that and was talking all shit to the bouncer so he touched me with his jab.

after that happened i have actively avoided fights.

No. I try to avoid confrontations, particularly where bottles are involved.

I did my clubbing phase in Portland, OR. I only saw two fights in 2 years. In downtown Albuquerque, I saw more fights in 1 hour than I ever saw the whole time in Portland. I dont know if it's the machismo attitude in Albuquerque or the college crowd downtown. If you party downtown ABQ, it's inevitable to get into a fight. And there's a good chance you might be facing a pro fighter. In fact, the first time I went downtown ABQ after moving back from OR, some old athletic and explosive man was trying to fight me because I brushed his leg in a crowded bar. Some young dude he was with, grandson maybe, was apologizing for him and saying to not pay any attention.

Somebody glassed the c**t. Nobody is gonna leave until we find out who did it!!

Once and there was no choice but to fight.

I was with a large group of people after a night at a lounge, and one person in our group had a half empty water bottle and he chucked it up high and backwards while we were walking towards my friends apartment. 2 seconds later these two guys came running up towards us swearing and screaming while we tried to calm them down, there were only two of them and like 5 of us.

2 of the guys in our group ran away (LOL), and that left us with 3 on 2. Anyways this guy takes a swing at me (I didnt even do anything!), hit me in the side of the head. I was expecting to feel rocked or at least something, but there was nothing. I was like sweet, MY TURN. I shot for a double leg, took him down and held his legs. My friend grabbed his head and repeatedly kneed him in the face.

The other guy was just straight up fighting the guy in my group (who tossed the water bottle, it should have been one on one between these two from the beginning) and these guys were just going shot for shot.

Back to the guy we had down...After my friend kneed him a few times, I let go of his legs and punched him in the face a few times. I am not proud of this, and I dont consider this a win but we fucked this guy up. He punched me in the head and I didnt do shit, and I didnt want to get into a street fight either. Anyways I yelled at my friend to stop as he was dazed, and the guys that were fighting one on one stopped as he went to the ground to help his injured friend.

We ran away as we heard police sirens. All happened so fast, within a matter of 3 minutes tops.

Again, not proud of it, and I dont even know why it was a fight. The guy that threw the water bottle fucked up and we were really pissed he got us into that situation.

I was sure one of them mustve had a knife or something because they were so brave running up on a large group of us.

Yeah i've had like 4 of them, well 3 of them were outside but it was still with people who were in the bar/club earlier. what can i say, drunken teenagers do dumb shit :).
But thanks to this new law you have to be 18+ to go to almost every bar(the only ones that you can go don't serve alcohol so nobody is there lol) i can't go out anymore. :(

It's funny you should say that.

I've always had a low opinion of bouncers (not that I've been a dick to them, just they generally are, well dicks). I went out for bank holiday and had a black eye from training and it was quite an up-market place so I was pretty self conscious about it. Then the bouncer shouts over, 'have you been scrapping?' and I just said I did it in training, then we end up chatting about MMA and grappling for the next forty minutes. Nice guy and invited me to train with his team but I had to decline as I said I'm just concentrating on grappling for the next year or so.

A lot of them seem like douches because they have to deal with drunken idiots while sober on a nightly basis. A lot of them are pretty decent guys if you talk to them. A few of them are ****s, but really, that's to be expected in that line of work.

After a rather nasty verbal confrontation an insane ex-girlfriend falsely accused me of hitting her while I was at the same bar. She just screamed out, "You hit me" while we were arguing and I had to run like hell out of that place to avoid the countless white-knights lining up to kick my ass. Luckily, I escaped unharmed.
