I have been training without the gi for about 2 months now and have grown to have a fondness of getting the brabo choke from my opponents half guard. I can't explain why, it's just currently my favorite submission. Any of you ever have a brief love affair with a particular submission, counter, sweep etc.?

I think this particular submission is much easier without the gi so I guess that explains my current enjoyment.

The armbar is easily my favorite. It is my bread and butter submission technique. I am trying to use it less during grappling practice. When I get into positions where I know I could work my way into an armbar, I just make a mental not of it and move on because while I am good for my level of experience getting an armbar, I suck at most other submissions. Since it's practice, I should be working on my weaknesses, which is everything else. I really need to focus on applying and finishing kimora and americana

My favourite sub is the chicken pizziola at subway. It's so great.

I knew this would happen. I happen to enjoy a grilled chicken parm myself.

Lately I've been pretty fond of the bow and arrow choke. I think it's partly because I get to cradle a dude in my lap. Sometimes, after the tap I'll stroke his hair ever so gently. I put a guy to sleep the other night. It wasn't because of the choke, either, he was just really comfortable lying there.

Triangle. If I can lock my legs around you and get my hand on my ankle to position myself, I usually get the sub :) RNC a close second

Twister from Twister side control, or back mount.

From Subway it'd have to be Spicy Italian on Wheat, best sub ever.

I have no idea how people still will go to Subway over some of the places that they have now. Even like a Quizno's is better to me. Subway hits the spot sometimes though.

All the sub places here where I live (except subway) suck bad. The quiznos here is garbage.

Not really fell in love but I do have some pretty fond memories of Red October... Had a brief affair with the Kursk but it was purely sexual

Back in the late 90's, I fell in love with Ankle locks. Very few people knew them that well and I hit them all the time. I actually stopped passing guard for almost a year. Everytime some one got guard, I would drop back for an ankle lock. It actually hurt my game a lot.
