As the title says, at one time have all the UFC champs been from the same background, such as all wrestlers or all BJJ practitioners.

They all had MMA background I think....

Im pretty sure all of them are familiar with the TapOut philosophy. We are all one. Just bleed.

It's a simple question.

Like right now almost all of the UFC champs are from wrestling backgrounds. You have Cain, Weidman, Hendricks, Dillashaw and the others.

I don't care for the lower weights as much so I don't now who's champ. But I believe almost all of them come from wrestling backgrounds.

So if the few UFC champs that don't come from wrestling backgrounds like Rousey were beaten by people with wrestling backgrounds like Barao just was by TJ then all of through current UFC champs would come from wrestling backgrounds.

So, at one time have all of the UFC champs been from the same martial arts background such as wrestling or BJJ?

In English, what TS is asking is that have all UFC champs at one point in time come from the same martial arts background & to answer your question in an educated guess... NO!
Why would all champs be 'wrestlers' or 'strikers' at one point in time, then it wouldn't exactly be 'mixed' martial arts competition now would it & would look more like K1.
BTW, all future UFC champs will be wrestlers, it's inevitable!

No, because Ken Shamrock had to ruin for everyone else by calling his style "shoot fighting".

Every champ right now is either the #1 or #2 GOAT of their division.

Yes

UFC 1 every champ was Royce Gracie

I'm going to go with wrestling.

Not many fighters in the UFC started their MMA career by learning MMA.

Most learned wrestling, bjj, boxing, etc. and added the rest.

Yes, but after deciphering the OP, the question is have there ever been ALL of the same background.

Not that I can think of since weight classes have been around.
