Gute can't draft a WR to save his life. Knowing him he will draft more MVS and Amari Rodgers-like players.

I'd much rather more Jaire, Stokes and Elgton Jenkins types who are were really good from the start and are now elite, vs these high ceiling; extremely low floor raw athlete types. But that seems like that is Gute's type and he will be sticking too it, lol.

Outside of the obvious Love debacle, one could say that Gute has both drafted well, and done a solid job adding via other means as well

Eh, I think Gute has done a fantastic job in FA. Pretty much everyone he has brought in has been solid or great. Now his drafting has been another story. Jaire, Stokes, Dillon and Jenkins are the only legit studs he has drafted. Role players like EQ and MVS are far too inconsistent. Gary could be the real deal, but he really has to refine his game more before I'd want the team to throw a lot of money his way. I'm really rooting for him too. Savage is a bit more concerning though. He is on a trajectory that of Haha Clinton-Dix. He really hasn't played well this year. Keke has been outplayed by both Lancaster and Lowry this season, yikes. And Gute has had too many 3rd round busts; Oren Burks and Sternberger? I'm praying Deguara changes that trend.

I think it's fair to say Gute is much better with FA acquisitions than he is a pure talent evaluator. He isn't a can GM, but he can for sure do better. I would give him some credit for the o-line guys like Newman and Meyers, but Steno has to get the most credit for bringing all those guys along. That guy is a fantastic o-line coach.

Why are the Packers so gullible and so easily fooled with trick plays? We've seen the runs and passes out of punt formation. We've seen the decoy punt returns, halfback/wide receiver passes, flea flickers and reverses all used successfully against the Packers. What is it in their current make up that allows them to be fooled so often?

I'm old enough to remember the days of Bart Starr when the Packers were the ones using the trick plays. Teams didn't dare put a heavy rush on field goal attempts or Starr would stand up and throw it to Hornung who was the kicker or a tight end that slipped free. The threat of Hornung or Donny Anderson passing certainly was one reason that the Packer sweep worked so well.

What's the over/under for picks in the playoffs for Douglas?

    I'm thinking 3.

and awesome to see Mercilus back at all. Thought he was toast. Getting that guy back on the field would be huge for the playoff push

They were terrible at getting turnovers in the last few games.

Lol i used to crack up when he'd call McCarthy "Gravyhead"

Seemed like he sold it to an old stiff guy and the magic left immediately. Felt sterile afterwards. Haven't really paid attention since. Was a shame, it was totally the best fan page for the team

If GB weren't getting back pretty much half of their pass rushers; I'd go into next weekend not feeling too confident. But getting Z and potentially Merciless back is huge for keeping Gary and Preston Smith fresh. They should have a solid rotation out there. This team has a lot more attitude to them than they have had the last few years. Losing two straight NFC title games should have this team coming out looking for blood. You know LaFluer wants to get some post-season revenge on his buddy Shanny too.

Unseasonably warm weather forecast for Green Bay on Saturday with a high of 21 and a low of 2.
