Have open relationships become normalized?

Yeah they broke up a month or so ago. He'd text me and say he supposed he had to, but really wasn't interested. Not sure if his girlfriend sleeps with other guys or not, they've been a thing for quite a while so I guess.

Yeah, that makes sense. I think I'm too old fashioned for any of that. If I have a relationship, it's monogamous and if I want to fuck a bunch of different girls, I stay single. Having a sexless marriage taught me to only settle with someone I love fucking and they love fucking me.

I know I've had a lot of partners and am really open to new things let's say but haven't even had a 3some. I'd be divorced if I suggested an open marriage. I think I might be able to handle it if he didn't fall in love, but I can't say that for certain, and something would likely go horribly wrong. Once you cross that bridge unless you agree right from the start after getting together...I don't know. Unless you swing and are involved at the same time I can see there being problems.

I used to watch videos on swingers and there seemed to be two varieties of couples. One where they were both on the same page and this was all just for fun. The other being there was something wrong with the relationship and all caution was getting tossed to the wind because it was already broken. In general though, the couples that had healthy relationships as swingers were generally old and not really appealing. I know one couple that used to swing. They were young and the guy wanted to stop once they had kids. The wife kept fucking around and that led to them getting divorced. The guy remarried another girl within a year. It's part and parcel of being in love with someone. I know there are medical or emotional reasons sometimes but if everything is gravy and she's not interested, after a while you're going to start looking elsewhere.

I watched a Showtime show about Polyamory but I'm pretty convinced a lot of it was fake.
