Have most Sherdoggers trained in a Combat Sport or....

yea I did the typical stack of someone who was 15 when the ultimate fighter season 1 rolled around
I could fight my way out of a wet paper bag... well most bags, not those fancy brand name bags made of good material. I can't compete with that.

Kung Fu when I was young. Tae Kwon do a little older and than boxing. Which I did the most.

From childhood to last time i did anything
Judo, Kickboxing, Boxing, Ninjutsu*, Jiu Jutsu, MMA

Wish i did wrestling but is super rare here, or at least it was when i was young (while judo was very popular)
Was selected (for wrestling) by firefighters gym at sport event when i was little kid, but their gym was far so my parents wanted none of that even if firefighters said would have been free

i'm 40 did'nt done anything beside some lazy running/ligfting for bunch of years, think 1-2 before covid

*know everybody hates it, had lot stuff i did'nt cared about (weapons to begin with) and training could use go more like sparring hard, though hand-to-hand (taijutsu) part had some interesting standing levers tricks you can pull from clinch if other guy is less good, remind some yt self defense stuff lol
But maybe i had good experience because Master himself (RIP) was really good man and former Col Moschin (italian paratrooper special forces unit) and liked to take the nice theory and tranform it to adapt actual real life pace/situations, made us do some super cool trainings and i say it as somebody not into bullshido stuff
One fellow gym buddy who did it told me his way was lot like Krav Maga (idk never did it) mixed with self defense but more physical (from my pov physical training was quite heavy, but sparring was very light)

My training days were a long time ago. Now I just beat up the p***y

IDK what that really means, but I still hold some wrestling records at my HS.

My buddy owns a BJJ gym, and I will occasionally do a class.

Edit: I forgot that I took karate for like 3 years age 8-11. It was basically worthless IMO.

4 years of Tai Kwon Do
1 year hs wrestling
A little bjj, probably about a year around the age of 30 or so. Shoulder injury unfortunately made it so I had to stop.

I have a Rampage belt in Whoop Dat Ass.

I'm 37, train BJJ currently a blue belt.

Did my first tournament last year went 2-1 and came 3rd in an 8 man division.

I've had a couple of months of lessons in bjj, mma and thai boxing. Honestly, i was useless at combat sports.

Wait.... as someone new here, was i lied to, when i was told we needed a minimum brown belt in UFC fighting before we could join this site??
