Just a random question but have any of you anti WMMA or even pro WMMA guys/girls switched sides? Do you still have the same general opinion or has that changed?

I'm asking because I'm not sure if the quality of WMMA (at least, at the top tier) is rising and evolving or I am just getting used to WMMA and not subconsciously picking it apart like I did before.

to me it got better when Ronda lost. I think WMMA is cool now, I dig it.

Honestly I dont like watching women fight. but the skill level is getting really good and competitive. I think Cyborg is one hell of a fighter and I'd tune into any of her fights. Big fan of Angela Lee also. Gotta tune in for Rose too

Once Rousey lost, I admit it became much more exciting/entertaining

I didn't realize women fighting could be as entertaining as men (Rarely seems to be in other sports) but on average I think women's bouts are just as entertaining

It's been the same ever since I started watching it. I love it. There are some good fighters in WMMA. The thing I don't like is dudes white knighting every attractive female MMArtist. It gets annoying. Or the Ronda fans who believe she can beat Cain Velasquez in an actual MMA bout. Or the fans who over emphasize the looks of a certain female MMArtist. Like no, Ronda and Paige aren't that attractive, stop it!

UFC SW dvision and its many exciting fighters has awoken an interest inside me (2 of SWs are in my signature actually). Still find UFC women's BW division a wash and won't change my opinion until it gets the same stream of young prospects as SW.

Yeah. I dislike it even more than when it first showed up in the UFC.

Back then, it was a rarity - a Rousey fight, maybe 1 other every 2-3cards. Now there's 1-2 on each card, and regional level fighters (at best) with 5-3 records etc. It's getting worse. The talent is NOT improving, there's just more shitty fighters on the scene which makes the handful of half-decent fighters look better.

But, I am partial to JJ fights.

I liked it before ... I love it now.

Women fights usually delivers fast paced action.

I used to like it more when...

I'll admit that over time it has. Originally I really wasn't a fan. I mean, I respected fighters like Laila Ali and Holly Holm, I just wasn't that interested in watching them and didn't particularly enjoy seeing women getting beat up.

Around the time Gina Carano fought is where my opinion shifted. I started paying more attention, because after all MMA is my sport of choice. And behold, I became a real fan. Some of my favorites these days are women (Holm, Joanna J, Cat Zingano... ).

Never thought I'd be into it, but I am.

I'm the opposite. SW was hyped up as this super exciting division and supposed to have all these prospects and it hasn't delivered imo. I think Joanna is the only strawweight in the UFC who has finished a fight by strikes.

I've always enjoyed it, and accepted it for the skill level. Alot of these fighters aren't very good but they are the best in the world that actually have the scrote to enter that cage. I've always respected that part of it.

And now the women are slowly getting better. And Ronda took not just WMMA, but MMA mainstream. So I have always appreciated them.

I've always been pro WMMA, anti WMMA in the UFC.

This hasn't changed at all.

I thought it was a side-show until I saw Coenen vs Carmouche, and then Coenen vs Tate. Those two fights won me over.
Although my only real reason to watch those two cards was Hendo... War Hendo

It was ok before, now it's bad and can be terrible. Fights are hard to watch.

First Wmma fight I really paid attention to was Tate vs Rousey 1 back in strikeforce. Been a fan ever since. But unlike some of you motherfuckers I'm a fan of MMA and not big sweaty cocks.

A good fight is a good fight and good fighters are good fighters. Size or gender have nothing to do with it.

No ! Still light years behind in terms of technical quality and even if they were on the same level as men, they will always be genetically far behind men in terms of athleticism. There is a lot of MMA, why would someone want to watch a way lesser thing ? (it's not like the NFL and the ncaa, wmma is like junior football or something like that in terms of quality)
