JacksonWink was widely regarded as one of the top 3 mega gyms in MMA, the other two being AKA and ATT. But with JW fighters being busted for PEDs violations, criminal arrests, and a long losing slump with their top fighters and prospects; has your opinion about JW changed at all?

Dunno if its USADA, the coaching staff being marginal, or their fight team starting to decline because of cumulative damage and age, but JW doesn't seem to stand out anymore. I think Greg Jackson's safe game planning and Winklejohn's kickboxing has failed to evolve with other gyms and MMA training as a whole. I think the only guy who seems enthusiastic and stand out is maybe 6 Gun Gibson.

Private gym not opened to the public? So no new blood coming in?

yeah it honestly has, from the information that is spread around the forums it seems as if it's just a cesspool full of PED users, narcissists and liars. I could be wrong and maybe all gyms are just like this but yeah Jackson Wink seems to be declining rapidly.

Coaching is important but the level of chemists is going to create a larger advantage than the level of coaching between top level gyms. I always thought that jacksons and att were the two top gyms for supplements and horse meat in the usa.

Nah.. Its just Albuquerque. Could be that they are taking on too many fighters. Six gun was a good pick up for them.

Last 16 months? Nope. I've been saying for years that everyone else has now caught up to Jackson-Wink and they're in danger of getting left behind. The last 16 months has merely confirmed this for me.

They were never in my top 5 if I was a fighter shopping for a new gym.

1. AMC Pankration
2. ATT
3. Kings MMA
4. TAM
5. Alliance MMA

Letting in too many fighters to train there or too many fighters joining the team?

Jax-WinkleRoid taking all kinds of fails onver the past year or two.

I like the list in no particular order, but JW has fallen off big-time considering they were once at the pinnacle or right next to it

They're horrible with fundamentals, imo. They can't develop, they were just a hub for already established fighters.

If fighters and coaches were covering for Jones in that under the Cage/USADA fiasco, I find it hard to believe that Greg Jackson and Wink didn't know that their fighters or some of them weren't using peds. But I don't think it's just USADA for their decline, I think it's their coaching and game planning

Theyve always had way too many fighters

Hard to imagine everyone getting the attention they need

You know what they say about Albuquerque... come for vacation, stay on probation!
Jk, it's really a fun and interesting city.

Look at Diego. I love the guy, but he's essentially the same fighter from TUF. Landon Vanatta, is another one, I like the improvements he's made offensively, but defensively and fight IQ he needs work
