I know guys like benson chose not to resign but have any former champs not been offered a contract?

I'm not sure what happened with Arlovski and whether he was offered a contract or not.

Tim Sylvia is still the most successful UFC HW champ. UFC still cut his ass

He had fights left on his contract, but if I recall correctly he actually asked to be released. I suppose that that still counts for TS' question though

Dave Menne was probably cut at some point I'm guessing.

Arlovski comes to mind after some WSOF fights he came back to the UFC.

I'm pretty sure they elected to not resign him and no credible offer was made.

I think they were going to cut Evan Tanner after he lost to Kendall Grove.

Jens Pulver.

He wanted more money...and the chance to fight Fedor...same with Sylvia...and they ultimately did get paid a lot and had the chance to fight Fedor...but they both lost...and then Affliction folded for overpaying fighters.

Did they cut Barnett when he tested positive and they stripped him, or was his contract up? Maybe Menne?

Well they forced Chuck Liddell into retirement.

Arlovski, Sylvia, Barnet, so the HW champs easily have been cutted.

What was the story with Mark Coleman? Did he leave or was he cut?

...did they even have multi-fight contracts back then?

Didn't he leave because he wanted to fight Fedor?
I'm pretty both parties wanted that and if he would've won he would've been welcomed back with open arms instead Dana being a classless fuck ran his mouth.
