I’ve sorta lost track of this one so I have no idea but I get the sense she isn’t the ‘draw’ she used to be. Has she maintained, increased or faded? Does she still do her dance after her wins? Hope not

Edit:
You guys have sorta glossed over her dance after she wins

The only ones who do these sorts of things are stars or those who at least think they’re stars

I wouldn't say she was ever a "draw." But public sentiment does seem to have cooled.

She hasn't looked particularly great in about 4 years, and her level of competition isn't exactly a murderer's row. She was getting pieced up by Santos before breaking Santos' face with a headbutt, got choked out by a non-grappler in Grasso, had a draw against Grasso (most people thought Grasso won), and had extremely boring performances in her last 2 fights.

It also doesn't help that she is a snob when she wins and a whiner when she loses.

She never really had a ton of star power.

She sorta lost whatever she did have with the Santos and Grasso fights. Even though she only lost one of those (and she was winning that one too), she didn't look as dominant as used to. The recent win against Manon was great, but I don't think it won her any fans.

She's at a point in her career where her decline is pretty obvious. She doesn't have a quarter of the footwork she used to have. Girls never used to be able to touch her, now after a round she's mostly just standing on the spot trying to counter.

And she's still too good for these others girls lol.

If she wanted to be a star, she'd probably need to go up and try and take the BW belt at this point. I don't think she really has that in her, and she'd probably struggle too much now with the bigger girls, even if she is vastly more skilled than the top BWs like Pena and Kayla.

Shev in her prime would be double champ right now without any difficulties at all.

She's holding on but the shine has worn off a bit. She was at peak popularity around 2019-21 when she headkicked Jessica eye and toyed with a bunch of soccar moms (no disrespect to Val, she did her job). Also beat Joanna and Andrade around that time. Since then she's looked increasingly unconvincing as a champ.

Never really had star power, but she did OK in the UFC. Afterwards, I’m sure she’ll still have a good run on OnlyFans.

Val was an incredible fighter in her prime but she was never a draw. That's why she was always co main event of ppvs under a male title fight they thought would draw.

I mean its UFC. If she was 'murican she would be a superstar on all the media. She is everything Rhonda was supposed to be and more and an actual exciting fighter to watch, but with a last name like that....

Same reason Bisping is a former UFC champion and paraplegic Weidman was given dozens of chances while Mousasi one of the GOAT MW was cut.

I'm a fan, but nowhere near as excited to watch her fight like I used to be.
This is how I see it and I’m not really paying attention. There most definitely was a buzz about her early on but it’s not the same anymore

I think the no1 reason is that her fights kinda suck to watch.

This, her going down to fight Priscilla Cachoeira, Jessica Eye and Lauren Murphy, then get finished and beat up by Grasso, losing to Santos and having this boring point style killed any momentum she could have gotten. Its a shame she flew down after getting beat up twice by Nunes and stayed down fighting smaller untrained soccer moms instead of going back up to avenge her loss.

Wmma goat. No flyweight will beat her though. Maycee and blanchfield get bounced with no issue

She’s probably the best to ever do it but nobody really cares. Sad but true. She doesn’t draw fans or interest in her fights. She’s Uber talented but way too boring and passive to be a star.

She's not doing herself favors, close fights, barely edging it out. Winning where opponent is weakest. Approaching 40. They say women hit the wall earlier than men
