Any tips on how to quit porn for good?

Truth be told i have tried to quit for 6 years and while i have made some progress, I havent been able to quit completely.

Even the small steps have made a huge difference in my life. My ed is almost completely gone, i have desire for sex about twice a week and my mood and motivation are a lot higher.

This is my third day not watching
 
My sexual life is extremely limited, but I consider myself lucky that I grew out of porn by the end of my teens, and never looked back. Thankfully I never was a habitual porn watcher, because I do believe it can warp your views on sexuality.

Never got into the fucked up, violent porn of nowadays. That became a thing long after I quit (even though Max Hardcore existed since the 1990s, if I'm not mistaken). I think that might be the most pernicious kind of pornography. I wonder why it became so popular.

I'm not a conservative either.

Porn has enhanced my sex life (when it exist). I mainly watch the amateur(-ish) style with women that look like they could be picked up at the grocery store. Feel like it's to be warped by seeing normal women have normal sex. Plus, I pick up on technique.

...Strip clubs on the other hand have affected my sex life for better and worse. They were the only contact I had with women in my early 20s, so I got used to the firm thickness that climbing up and down a pole day after day will create to the point where feeling a normal (sedentary?) woman was almost repulsive. Now I have higher standards for women's physical fitness.

TL;DR: Amatuer porn is a net positive. Strip Clubs made me a "body composition" snob.

For real, I agree porn is like a drug and it was for me. I used it like an addicted madman till now I'm at the point that no porn in the world does anything at all for me, no even remotely.

However, real sex or any kind of touchy feely action with a real woman. Seems to rely on entirely different psychology / type of chemistry and remains totally unhindered. Possibly enhanced in a few ways.
 
I think porno desensitizes you where you need better stimulus to think horny enough thoughts to power up the pee pee.
 
In all honesty, porn is extremely addictive and can be damaging as it creates a false sense of sexual reality. Chances are, neither you or your significant other can screw like the people you see in porn. The more you watch it and get off to it, the less your own girl will gratify you, and you will always be on the lookout for that piece of ass that is A1. The standards gets raised to unattainable levels, and getting wood for just any average girl can become difficult. Porn becomes like any drug , and you become addicted, having to go back to it once every while or constantly, even if you are getting laid on a regular basis.

I'm willing to bet that most people on these forums watch some sort of porn at least once or twice a week minimum. I've graduated to now watching it only when I get high. I now have to sneak one of those life like sex dolls past my girl into my attic , lol
