No. There is variance in fighting and he hit the small part of range in scenarios where he wins

He was beginning to can it up mid fight but lucky for him he landed that kick.

    Column A, Column B

Jake was gassed after his first flurry and he would have been destroyed if it wasn't for that body kick

I'll tell you this he definitely benefited from from leaving Edmond for Kings

Jake should be working for State Farm, he's got the name for it.

    3. its MMA and shit happens.

but yes, he's likely a better fighter training at Kings instead of Edmunds.

Wasn't ellenburger training with Edmond at one point?

If so, then yeah, is pretty much guaranteed that he's improved after leaving Edmond

Brown showed up with a mohawk almost like he knew he was there to get his ass kicked.

He's gone back to being a hard hitting wrestleboxer. His problems began when he started working with Jeff Mayweather and compounded further when he switched to Edmond. Hell, he even had Mickey Rourke giving him pointers from the ring side. His love for boxing almost ruined him. Kings MMA helped him go back to what made him good in the first place & play to his strengths.

Putting it together is improvement. If he can keep it up is another question?

It's hard to say. On one hand he's fighting some tough competition. On the other, he's been in the game for over 11 years now.

I'm going with "not" improving. Him and Hendo has a similar disease going on. Both guys have power in their hands. Both had a good wrestling base and now they are barely getting by with KO's.

I'm not sure if they just neglected their wrestling over the years in favorite of head hunting or if it's injury related, but they have lost their overall rhythm. People come charging at them and they are swinging for the fences, hoping for a home run. Sometimes it works, many times it doesn't.

Jake is just lucky he got a home run this time. He might not be so lucky the next time. The next guy might be a lot more patient and Jake will probably swing for the fences again, gas out and cruise control another loss.

Jake looked like he was about to fold after the first time he rocked Brown and didn't put him away. He's the same fighter.
