He beat Charles Rosa (a nobody), Nam Phan (I love him but he fking sucks) and Diego Nunes in the featherweight division. And apparently if McGregor wins over Siver he's ensured a title-shot,

I love McGregor but this is absolute BS.

They should've be given Edgar the title shot and matched McGregor up with Lamas or Swanson

Just gotta accept that the UFC does whatever the fuck it feels like at this point, regardless if it makes sense or not.

didnt dustin also jump up multiple rankings when he was about to fight conor? Siver is fun to watch, but yes. He doesn't have any great fw wins, and plus the illegal substances he took, both are negatives

Yeah pretty much, title shot off Siver and Poirier is a joke but can't do much about it.

They clearly don't want to see Frankie Edgar shithouse McGregor worse than he did Cub, until after he gets badly 50-45'd in front of thousands of his countrymen.
    Yes
Very odd fighter in that his resume isnt too impressive, but he has good skills nonetheless. Not every striker can 30-25 (seriously) a guy like Nam Phan. His crippling lack of cardio is probably the only thing keeping Siver from being truly elite and IMO the one reason why he has literally no chance to beat McGregor.

TS should've looked up his record when entering the ufc. far from stellar. To think that Askren still isn't in the ufc...

Dustin's got solid wins under his belt. If he was anywhere in the top 6-10, he was ranked just fine.

Diego Nunes was highly touted when Siver beat him, not sure if he was top 10 or not but that was his biggest win at FW.

LW = Spencer Fisher (when Spencer was still relevant), Matt Wiman, George Sotiropoulos

FW = Diego Nunes, Nam Phan (beatdown), Manvel Gamburyan (changed to NC)

Definition of gatekeeper. Good test for anyone. Legit UFC fighter, perfect opponent for McGregor.

Nope, Dustin was #5 before he was matched with McGregor. Siver was #10 and now he's #9 since KZ dropped out.

People goin crazy with the McGregor conspiracies.

No he was not. There was someone who posted like a day or so after the fight was announced and Dustin went from like 6-8th on the UFCs rankings to 5th.

    no kidding.

Mendes, Lamas, Swanson, Edgar, Bermudez...Conor will have to fight none of them en route to a gifted title shot from the UFC.

    money talks.

Phan has 1 somewhat relevant win in his entire career.
    Leonard Garcia.

Who coincidentally also has 1 relevant wins in his entire career.

He sure was. Go look at his Corassani fight, he was #6 before that fight. They moved up him one spot after he won it. Look it up.
