Has Conor gotten lazy?

He had one bad fight after a near perfect performance.

Let's wait and see. The loss might change his focus from 'muevment' to the fight.

That's what happens when you start to believe your own hype and stop doing things the way you used to do them. That was pretty clear against Nate too. He was looking for the one big punch and despite partial success in the first round, it clearly wasn't the way to go.

Just because he beat Siver and Mendes fighting the way he did, doesn't mean he is fighting to the full extent of his capabilities. Go watch that Brimage fight and compare it to how he's fought recently.

I don't know, maybe that IS his capabilities now. Not sure if he's regressed, but I know he doesn't look as fluid on the feet.

I think his biggest problems at 196 was underestimating Nate, he "predicted" a first round KO of a man who has never been KO'ed fighting much bigger men. Then closer to the fight he got mentally broken, he wasn't the same.
I really thought he was mentally strong, but he is just like everybody else. I went from being a huge fan from just ok with him after the loss. Now he is just another fighter, nothing special.

I'm not arguing with you. I'm saying I don't have the info to give you a good answer.

Yeah, another Conor thread. I have been watching him since he debuted in the UFC against Brimage. He's had many successes, obviously, and he has fought a higher level of competition since his first UFC fight. But re-watching that Brimage fight, the angles he cut and the way he moved seemed more advanced than the way he approaches fights now. The Aldo fight was impressive because he caught him, but he seems more flat footed, and more content to counter strike standing in front of an opponent.

I noticed it in the Siver and Mendes fights as well. Maybe it had something to do with his ACL tear? Maybe he has been more reliant on his chin and less on his technical abilities? For all of his focus on movement training, he showed none of it in the Diaz fight. He basically stood in front of Diaz and whiffed on a bunch of spinning kicks.

Has anyone else noticed this?
He gased. Cardio-issues in WW. Why it is stpupid for Conor to take it WW again. His body has not time enough to acclimatize.

PS: He might got lazy with his training tho, his arms in the Nate fight didnt had much muscle definition.

He needs to get used to being that weight. He had no experience of carrying that extra weight, which lead to him getting gassed (that, and the fact he threw 20+ 'haymakers' in the first round).
