Has anyone used Molecular Hydrogen supplements?

yeah it is the most abundant resource on the planet. the whole entire universe actually. why do you think the sun has so much energy? its because of hydrogen. you should really try researching it. its some amazing stuff. all the rage in asia.

Drinking Gun Powder was also all the rage in China at some point.

It sounds like you have commercial interests in this product, let me guess - you about to recommend us the best brand that "gave" you amazing results.

Hi Everyone,

A rep from an alkaline supps company was at my club the other day -- he had a molecular hydrogen product which hes said was amazing for inflammation, lactic acid build up, injury recovery blah blah blah

Lactate build up occurs when H+ ions accumulate faster than the body can clear them. Supposing it actually works, having an abundance of them won't decrease this.

Besides, the body is more than capable of extracting H from H2O.

this is the broiest of sciences ive ever seen

Which part? That excess hydrogen ions aren't the direct contributor to increased lactate? That's physiology 101. Bitch please.

The 2nd part is hugely over simplified, though here's a biochemical equation showing it.

carbon dioxide + water ↔ carbonic acid ↔ hydrogen + bicarbonate
CO2 + H2O ↔ H2CO3 ↔ H+ + HCO3-

Been doing a lot of research since you guys have been flaming so hard. Molecular hydrogen, H2, targets free radicals specifically the hydroxyl radical which is the most dangerous. Your body can only produce so many antioxidants to combat free radicals. Buildup of free radicals is called oxidative stress and is linked to fatigue, inflammation, as well as most diseases and aging.

I cant believe you took the time to write that pointless comment
So did you ever try the hydrogen therapy for supplements? I would really like to know if it works or not I'm in desperate need of something. Please let me know as soon as possible how it worked on you if you even used it

What would one person's perceived experience mean anyway?

You mean we can use humans to extract Hydrogen from water.......to power our Hydrogen cars!!!!!

Maybe you have stumbled onto the Matrix. .......it was never about bio-electricity and heat given off by humans.... to power the machines;)

doesn't, like, the lactate build up because it's the major electron shuttle in the absence of oxygen and stuff? I mean, it seems like your body wouldn't be able to pump as many protons into the intermembrane space without meeting the stoichiometric requirements for actual respiration and that the process the produces the protons has very little to do with fermentation in which the Brønsted-Lowry acid form of Lactic acid/lactate is formed and stuff.

the research on this is expanding. There's also several sports related studies underway or finished/not published and tons of animal models. Sports is only one aspect H2 therapy is being explored in, there are 61 currently published clinical trials showing benefit across 186 disease models in every organ. There are over 1000 preclinical studies published.

I suppose I would be a "red flag" to some. But i'd argue that for discerning, normal adults saying that a supps rep has a 'hidden agenda' to sell me something I may or may not need would be stating the obvious. That has nothing to do with the validity of a product.
Its the difference between finding a doctor through an advertisement vs word of mouth or trial and error- just by not going through that initial filter, the advertised doctor (supplement you hear about because someone has a vested interest in you buying it) is less likely to be good.
