Has anyone tried these?

Useless bling IMO. What's wrong with using the floor, or two adjacent chairs?

I do fist pushups kind of like that. I do a vertical fist pushup, explode up and turn my fist horizontal. Kinda similar I guess. I don't want to spend money on a gadget for an exercise that I have been doing since I was 5 yrs old.

It's possible that it's a more effective pushup, but the product looks like "TeH pUMpzORS!"

You'd be better trying the infamous T-bar pushups. Or hell, use a couple of sodding beer cans.

OK

Lots of strong feelings about this. Thanks for the feedback so far.

I was thinking about buying them, since I am not able to put my hands flat on the ground. (I do push-ups using dumb-bells for my grips)

OMFG!!!

The Perfect Pushup's push up stand will Get You Ripped and get you in shape fast. These push up stands put a new spin on the most popular upper body exercise — the push up! You will get measurable results in 10 work outs.

Get Your Guns and get big results in the chest, arms, shoulders, and back with greater comfort and control. You’ll feel the effectiveness in your very first try.

The Perfect Pushup employs the secrets of Functional Training to give you more benefits from your workout by engaging muscles the way nature intended.

Functional Training has been used to train the elite US Navy SEALs for years and is essential to their awesome success.

I will ban anyone who admits to buying those.

Am I the only one whose brain immediately wants to shut down when I read "ripped" in an advertisement? It's pretty much a 99% chance that if I see that in a product's description that I won't buy it.

There there, lad. We've all been where you are now. At least you embarrassing folly product was small and inexpensive.

BTW, what's up with your non-bendy wrists?

Thank you father.

I cannot bend my wrists in almost any direction. (I had a lot of issues with them when I was younger) I guess they just healed that way.

So it makes a regular type of push-up impossible for me to do.

Does that make any sense?

A better investment would be some rings.

Oddly enough I designed and built two small lazy suzans YEARS ago for just this purpose... To mimic a punch. Sadly, the thought of using rings didn't occur to me at the time. Pitty as rings are much more versatile tools and cost less (in both money and time) to make

I did get a pull up bar a few months ago.

I have been working hard to trying to get one full pull-up.

(please don't laugh at my sad pull up numbers)

I think you're missing the point with the ring reccomendation. Asside from being able to do pullups, you can lower them to do pushups in the same twisting striking manner that the perfect pushup device works but with GREATER muscular recruitment. you can also use them for dips, gymnastics work (like iron crosses), muscle ups, etc. etc.

That makes sense now.
