Has Anyone Stopped Khabibs Takedowns?

No one is unstoppable and no one ever said he was unstoppable.

You said that Khabib has never faced anyone with good TDD which is a blatant falsehood. Barboza rarely gets taken down. Lee and Khabib are the only ones to continuously take him down with ease.

Al stuffed all but 1 of Lee's TDs. The only time he was taken down more than once in a single fight (outside of the Khabib fight) was 5 years ago.

Before fighting Khabib, MJ had gone 5 years without being taken down.

Before you quote meaningless statistics, ask yourself how many high level wrestlers these guys have fought who actually tried to take them down. Because I remember Danny Castillo taking both of them down and nearly finishing both.

Castillo went 1/10 for TDs against Barboza. And Barboza won that fight.

Castillo didn't take MJ down at all and got KTFO in round 2!

Barboza has fought lots of wrestlers and has stuffed almost all of them. This includes, Tony, Dariush, Melendez, Green, Dunham, and Castillo. So unless all of them suck then it's fair to say that Edson TDD is pretty fucking good. Also, Frankie Edgar has gone on record saying that he struggles to take Edson down.

MJ has stuffed Dariush, Guillard, Castillo, and Tony.

I think conor started with the bus incident. DC even joked to Khabib because he needed bodyguards in Calgary saying “uh oh khabib, Conor’s coming!” Even though it’s a joke, I feel him needing protection is a little emasculating.

That's the going theory, but Khabib's lack of success had more to do with Tibau not giving up his left underhook. Khabib also had little success taking down Pat Healy(post Tibau) on the fence, resorting to reactive takedowns as Healy came in.

Ever since Khabib joined AKA, no one has stopped his TDs. Once he starts chaining stuff together, it's a wrap. People like to point out his TD accuracy % but that doesn't tell the whole story. Khabib typically shoots for 3 or so TDs back to back. He will almost always finish 1/3 TDs. It is very rare that Khabib will fail to finish a properly established TD chain.

Give khabib like 5 attempts and he'll probably get it but in the meantime he's wide open. He relies very much on aggression and his wild striking to intimidate his opponent and get him cowering against the fence. Thats where he gets his TD's; in the centre he has a hard time cutting off the ring and his shots are telegraphed with bad setup unlike mendes.
It is a dangerous game against conor who is a powerful counterstriker with long reach and good footwork.
