He's had a lot of battles and I can't think of any that outlined the way to beat him. Anderson had Chael, Jones had Gus, Machida had Shogun... most great fighters who seem unbeatable eventually have someone show the world what strategy they need to train.

It's amazing that that's never happened to GSP. I can't think of a match that had fighters sitting down and working on all new strategies to dethrone the WW king.

Serra did. He hit GSP in the body until he dropped his guard, then nailed him in the face.

Probably what Hendricks said: eat a couple of soft jabs to throw something big. Over and over until you catch him.

He tapped to an armbar before getting KO'd. Don't forget that.

Hit his weak chin. It's the reason he abandoned his exciting style back in the day.

those "soft" jabs dont really look all that soft. Seems like he is busting ppls faces with them. GSP has fought lots of tough fighters im sure if his jab was fluff lots of those guys would have np walking thru it. Yet to see ppl do it tho.

Submit or knock him out. I don't think you can out point GSP.

Condit almost finished GSP. Someone with better striking who can defend his takedowns...simple as that

GSP doesn't exactly have soft jabs. Remember him breaking KOS orbital bone with a jab? I do.

GSP has a pretty stiff jab, and if Hendricks wants to risk closing the distance to throw something big he could end up in the same situation.

That said -- it might just be Hendricks best shot. I still only give him a punchers chance, and he's going to have to close the distance some how, so if GSP gets lazy and throws some weak jabs I can see Hendricks trying to counter with something big.

If GSP ever loses again, I think it will be standing -- I think he's proven that he has some of the best MMA wrestling ever.

Yeah, but that submission was literally his own mistake. I don't think anybody's gameplan should be for GSP to make a mistake.

Catch him with a big blow and finish but then again that applies to anybody.

So essentially the gameplan to beat GSP is to beat him.

People.can't just train to fight the fight Gus did. You take away his body build to be able to nullify Jones reach advantage he holds over everyone and that fight would have been totally diff. 2 4 5 bones btw
