Has anyone here gone gluten free?

Oh, so you went to a doctor and they reported that it was your lack of gluten that led to this weight loss and not the fact that you were eating less sugar, starch and simple carbohydrates? It was definitely the basic protein in wheat that led to this?

You old dudes are hilarious. Stop being so insecure about your weight and exercise more.

I'm 27. I didn't stop eating sugar. I went from 180 to 160. When I started eating carbs again, I went up to 180 again. Same activity level.

I'm not insecure about my weight. I'm in shape.

Take the stick out of your ass

Oh so exactly what i'm saying. Gluten=/= Carbohydrates. Gluten is a protein chain in many wheat based carbohydrates

And the stick is Gluten Free so it's safe, don't worry

Most of the gluten people get is from carbs

God you people are dense.
Carbohydrates are generally sugar complexes, this only goes astray with saccharides (not going to get too deep into that). They exist in vegetables, fruits, some meats, cheeses, etc. Gluten is a protein chain in wheat. Carbohydrates, when not put in to use, are linked with fat and water retention, as they cause a spike in your blood sugar level. Gluten sensitivity is linked to indigestion.

Going "Gluten free" didn't make you lose weight, it was eating less sugar. Most carbohydrate complexes are just sugar. You don't know what you're talking about.

Corn and Rice are carbohydrate heavy grains that do not have gluten in them. So if I eat rice and corn and do not exercise, I will probably gain weight. A lot of it. I will still be gluten free. There goes your stupid theory.

Just someone who passed grade 9 biology, and read the nutrition chapter of the book they assigned us. I know, not everyone is so capable of such a lofty goal, but I stay humble by eating Udi's and crying in a mirror.

Yeah you must have just passed grade 9.

You should be upset a 15 year old is telling you the difference between a protein and a carbohydrate complex

I never said I didn't know the difference.

Don't know why you'd be so triggered by gluten.

The dick level is thick in this thread. I'll pass. WTF it's a gluten thread, lol

You just illustrated that you did.
"I never stopped eating sugar...I went back to eating Carboydrates..."
You don't know what you're talking about. It's okay.

You said I stopped eating sugar and I corrected you.

I have or at least minimally.

I eat minimal diary and carbs. No refined sugars or anything with nitrates.

A good way to know if a diet is working is your skin complexion. If you are eating right, your skin should clear right up.

Went from a puffy 210 to a TST 185.

Lmao @ you 30 and 40 somethings so out of shape you have to resort to not eating a fucking grain so your wives will find you attractive instead blasting the hitachi to bbc porn.

Sure I'm 40 something and so out of shape I've run a marathon. I say this as a 50km a week runner "jog on dude".

I have some autoimmune issues that are aggravated by gluten ( psoriasis , alopecia ) . I'm about 98% compliant with the occasional moment of weakness. My skin is a lot better , but the biggest difference came from giving up beer , particularly IPA's . I was trying to drink " gluten reduced " beers like ommission or stones delicious and it just didn't cut it. I get my alcohol in other ways now.

A good side effect of trying to go gluten free.....or less is that you end up paying way more attention to your diet in general and tend to eat alot less crap , and just cleaner in general.
What meds do you take for the psoriasis?

Literally no one cares that you run, that's the exercise people do before they actually exercise.

Nice dude I'm glad the new diet has worked for you. Is this the list of foods you have to now go by?

https://www.ibsdiets.org/fodmap-diet/fodmap-food-list/

Or were the list of specific vegetables she told you not to eat different from that list? We definitely have/had the same symptoms so I'm willing to try it. Started it yesterday and I'm pretty sure I avoided eating any gluten. Felt a bit better but I do have some decent days once in a while so I'm going to keep it up for a while and see what happens.

There is a few on the list but they were pretty much random vegs. Mushroom, corn, cabbage, soft cheeses, sweet potato, are a few off the top of my head.
