Has anyone ever attempted the drop kick in an mma fight?

Lol, where I come from a drop kick is quite different.

You would first need to decapitate your oponent.

As good Ol' JR would say "Rock Bottom! Rock Bottom! Rock Bottom!"

LMAO for the rest of my life when I see that I'll think of JR screaming Rock Bottom, now someone just needs to do the Stunner, "STONE COLD, STONE COLD, STONE COLD."

Everyone in this thread is a newb.

A "drop kick" is when you drop a ball from your hands and kick it once it hits the ground. Commonly it's interchangable with a punt. The term was then used commonly when you kick an opponent when they are bent over or on the ground. Apparently somewhere in newb land, in conjunction with fake pro wrestling, it became a flying side kick or a kick where you jump and hit someone with the soles of your feet. Since newbs and WWF fans can't admit they are wrong they coined the word "dropkick" like it was something completely different from "drop kick". Flame away... nubs.

Carlos Condit vs Rory Macdonald, at the very end of round 1 or 2. i forget. But Condit dropkicks Rory 100%.

Do u mean like a WWE dropkick ? If so I think it would only work if the other fighter stood there let it happen . It would be fuckin awesome though .

Hahah yeah, I saw it on his highlight reel. Not what I was expecting but still full of lulz. Thanks

Jesus.
Jones is scary.
He pulls of "sport's entertainments" moves for real.
Shogun must have shit himself.

Its just a matter of time before he does a Tombstone Piledriver or drops the Big Boot to finish a fight.

This was pretty awesome too.

Daniel Bryan and Punk reenacting Sonnen's spinning failbow against Silva.

They did this match the Monday after the title fight I believe.

I always thought it was funny how a pro wrestle would hurt himself when he missed a drop kick, but would be fine when he landed it.
