Has anyone else lost their love for Anderson Silva?

I was a huge Anderson fan back in the days. I mean it was to the point that we would order his fights and I wasn't able to sit all fight and my heart was beating out my chest.

At some point (maybe it was his mockery KO in the Weidman fight?) I just lost interest in him as a fan. Since then his career has just been bizarre. The very next fight he comes back and snaps his shin in 1/2. Then he comes back and tests positive for banned substances and Viagra. Then he has that terrible defense in court. And finally he has a strange 5 round loss to Bisping in a fight he looked like he could win at any point if he wanted.

I can't remember any elite fighter have such a bizarre tailspin this later in their career. Even in his interviews he seems less charismatic. Has he lost a lot of other fans on here?

Is this love or lust we are talking about?

Never. He can still win the strap today, but not a year from now.

in the demain maia fight. yes i did....

Anderson didn't stand out as much in Pride as he did in UFC.

He went 3-2 in Pride.

Well he is a steroid cheat who got rekt by cans and ruined his own career and goat status. Iz normal. Love , like everything in this world, is temporary.

It feels more like he's lost his love for me.

The last few years have broken my heart...

I want the guy to retire but I still love The Spider, too many memories. Thanks for the call BOOMIN'

I wish he would have retired after the Bonnar fight. Will always be number one in my book.

I was never really a fan, though I did cheer for him against Belfort and both Chael fights.
The funny thing is I only cheered for him because the other guys were proven steroid users. Then the tests results came back from the Diaz fight...

So you were a huge fan and then lost interest when he suffered his first loss in the UFC? Yep sounds about right for the average mma fan.

So you lost interest in him as a fan after he got he got knocked out and lost the title? Weird.

To me you look like a glory hunter, big fan while he was winning but when he lost in the Weidman fight(your words) you started to lose interest in him.
