Has any other fighter been so pressured to fight outside their weight class?

Listen you don't want Cyborg to be your UFC champion. She's bad for the sport.

1. She's been caught using steroids in the past
2. She looks like a warlock
3. She can't speak very good english

If you want MMA to grow bigger than you need people like Ronda and Conor to be your champs.
 
GSP received twice the crap while talking less than 1/10th the amount of trash Ronda does.

Tate actually said she would move up to fight Cyborg since Rousey is too scared to. And Cyborg move up to where?? Can you even name a female fighter above 145?? Ronda isn't being pressured at all!! Cyborg is the one being pressured to weaken herself and move down.

Catchweight fights when one person is champion of a division wont happen. People will now fight on a weeks notice to get a shot.
 
A certain segment was very vocal about GSP non-stop for 'ducking' a super-fight with Anderson... until JJ came along. Then they quieted down significantly.

Its easy to talk, when you know you will never face a fighter.
Nobody really asks for a Tate vs Cyborg fight.

Cyborg is being pressured about the Ronda fight since she wants it.
How ever she does not want to fight Ronda in a weight class that actually exist in the UFC.
Cyborg asks to be a special case. Why should a champion in the biggest MMA org have to bend over backwards for a fighter from another org. And even a fighter that does not even have a better record?

Oh yeah because sherdoggers want her too!

I can name a fighter above 145, Gabi Garcia. Happy?
 
GSP had even more pressure as everyone didn't only want him to move up for one fight but in general.
Jones got some pressure. Aldo had a lot of pressur ebefore Mcgreor. Barao had soem pressure.
Basically any dominant champ
 
GSP got pressured to move up and fight at MW every single day on this forum, and by Dana White, and by fans, etc... There was a new thread that came up talking about GSP at MW at least 3 times a week for like 4 fuckin years.

It's not even remotely close for Ronda. Its ridiculous to compare them. After Penn moved up in weight and lost the Penn-fan mantra was "Penn had the balls to move up but GSP doesn't therefore Penn is pfp#1goat and GSP suxbawls greaser"

It went on and on and on....

Lol Yea Gabi Garcia who you prob have never seen fight and only read articles on. And why not? You claim you are the #1 female on the planet and no female can beat you then step up! What you gonna fight the same 3 girls over and over again? You claim you can beat male mma fighters, yet you won't step up to fight a female at a weight class you used to fight at?? You talk all this junk about Mayweather (by the way I can't stand Mayweather) But Mayweather has stepped up a few weight classes and taken on tougher competition. If she knew in her heart she was the absolute best and had no fear whatsoever then there would be no excuses at all, not even if it skipped Cyborg and was about her stepping up and facing Gabi Garcia. That's the bottom line. We all know she's gonna fight maybe 3 more times and then retire claiming she is and was the best ever without ever proving it to the world by defeating Cyborg unless her and Dana get their wish and Cyborg weakens herself to make a weight she never made before just to give Rousey the advantage. Oh and I forgot to mention why is it ok for her to step up and fight Carano who Cyborg destroyed and who hasn't fought in 6 years??

people act like its rondas fault. Cyborg fucked up bad when she popped. Womens mma nearly got killed off right there. Ronda almost singlehandedly saved it. She wouldnt have done it without running her mouth like she has.

You missed the point entirely. Why would the UFC schedule fights in weight classes higher than the current heaviest weight classes their organisation? What would be the point? There's no belt, no rankings, no other contenders, nothing. Stupid idea.

It only makes sense if Ronda leaves the UFC and fights somewhere else less prestigious where they actually have a 145lb division. Seems like a big step down for Ronda.

Cyborg could have fought Rousey several times now but she keeps running away/failing PED tests. Truth.
 
GSP, JBJ, and Aldos have been pressured to fight at a higher weight. If McGregor wins against Aldos, I'm pretty sure everyone will want to see him go up to fight LW's that's where I want him to be in because of many interesting fights he can garner.
 
Yeah, plenty of champs have actually. And it wasn't all friendly with Anderson like you make it out to be lol.
 
Anderson, GSP(although Silva actually obliged on a couple occasions, usually as a late replacement). Jones to a lesser extent. Never against such a definitive opponent though.
 
Far as I can recall Andy didnt mind moving up when he got bored.

Same with Penn except he moved up out of love for roast pig.
