Hartford CT boxing event, saturday june 16

if you live in CT or western MA and want to see some local boxing, come check out "fight night at the capital" saturday june 16. This event is at the meadows concert area (now "xfinity theater") which is right off I-91.

reasons to check out this event:
-first hartford boxing pro boxing card in over 3 years. could be the start of something big for hartford boxing.
-first card being promoted by hartford boxing center, which has formed its own promotion company to make this card. hartford boxing center is a relatively new gym run by some really great people.
-features undefeated light heavyweight prospect richard "popeye" rivera, 7-0 with 6 KOs. rivera has an extremely crowd-pleasing style, hits HARD, and has a great local following. he is rated #35 in the US.
-pro debut for many hungry local fighters, including 2x new england golden gloves champ Sharrod Collier.

for comparison, kevin cobbs is a common opponent for rivera and current top super middleweight david benevides. cobbs is no jobber and is a quality win.
