That happens to be primarily a pro war bill, 3x the amount spent on border is going to ukr… calling it a border bill is laughable. It’s a war bill with perks

Plus the contents of the bill that deal with the border sucked. It make it the law of the land that 5k would be allowed per day, and more could be allowed if they wanted. That is still a million per year, not including got away. And it’s only bipartisan with a few senators, which is why it was shut down so easily. Traditional GOP is evil and wants a bunch of cheap labour. Thankfully that part of the party is being weeded out, Mitch now having basically no influence.

Their whole game is to fund raise on how bad the democrats are making America. Then when elected do “bipartisan” deals that basically capitulate everything to the democrats.

Even if Harris did finish the wall, her admin would open the gates, as they do now, to allow people to enter, at least 5k per day, likely more than that, every single day. And that increased 14billion or whatever would be needed every single year, if not more since they will likely run out, just to process these people.

Let alone continue to house, feed, school, medical care. All of which causes inflation to these things as the supply is used up.

It says that if border officials average 5k encounters with illegals in a single week, that they will shut down the border indefinitely lol.

Encounters does not mean they let 5k illegals in per day with a free pass. 5k includes people they've detained brother.

The truth is the wall is absurd but if the public wants it, then it is a concession. Leaders work for the people, they do not work for themselves. Harris and Biden have stated that they are not opposed to a wall if it makes sense. This is the key you are missing. Trumps entire border wall makes no sense. The Harris security plan includes filling in strategic sections of the wall along the nearly 2,000-mile southwest border, given her endorsement of the failed bipartisan bill that she now says is the foundation of her border policy. She endorsed the bipartisan bill and was willing to go across the isle and make it happen because it made sense in those areas.

The democrats have mentioned that there are better solutions, like fencing, surveillance and more border security rather than a wall that can be and has been traversed easily by ladders. A better plan would be fencing, drones, more border security, and enhancing operational efficiency by border officers because a wall has shown to be problematic, as immigrants have gone under and above it, so it is useless without an actual plan. Trump had none but a big wall that was routinely traversed by ladders.
