Dude, half guard is the easiest place to sweep from.

Mount should be one of the harder positions to reverse. Then again, if you can hit the upa on your partners at a high percentage, good for you.

Usually I have to chain a few different escapes together to get out of undermount. Roy Dean has a video up with a lot of good mount escape techniques.

Anyways, if I were to rate the ease of sweepage by position (from easiest to hardest), it would go something like this:

    1. half guard
    2. closed guard
    3. open guard
    4. knee on stomach
    5. Mount
    6. Side mount (including kesa and reverse kesa)
    7. N/S

Side mount and N/S can be a bitch to escape when training with higher belts.

This is pretty much polar opposite of how it should be .... a good mount is impossible to escape, and half guard is like a sweepin' dream.

Half guard is the easiest position to sweep from for me. I also love working to x-guard from half guard and then obviously working sweeps from there.

You misunderstood something. You cant sweep from mount. if you reverse position when someone mounted you its called escape and in bjj match you get no points for that.
sweeps are done from some of the guards, like closed, halfguard, spider guard, x guard etc etc.

Sweep = going from neutral or good position to a better position.

Getting out of mount = escape, not sweep.

I agree, Half Guard. It's probably my favorite position. And since most guys like to be on top, Half Guard is easier to get to. By far the easiest position for me to sweep from.

hardest way to reverse position for me is mount, I can get out of mount but if you go for a roll over in my club you find your back taken, armbar, or triangle flying at you.

Hardest position for me to sweep from is spider guard, de la riva, or cross guard...I've just started to really work these three into my open guard game and I just am not getting the hang of them yet.

I sweep the easiest from open/closed guard, and half guard is a close second. I have a hard time getting out of side control/north south if my opponent knows what they are doing. Someone with a good mount is also very difficult for me to reverse, but I have an easier time with it than side control and north south.
