Happy BirthDay to One Of the ALL Time Greats!! Future HOF and 2 division champ

Lyoto is an all-time great?

Hmm. I mean, he is a very interesting and skilled fighter, but he sniffed one belt for a moment, and that's it.

Guess you aren't a Bones fan either than,

Jones record,

Tex
Gus
Sonnen
Belfort
Rashard (Lyoto beat him)
Lyoto is lyoto
Quinton (Many think Lyoto beat him)
Rua (Lyoto beat him)
Bader (Lyoto beat him)
Matyushenki
Vera
Hammil
Obrien
Bonnar (Lyoto beat him)

Hendo, Mousasi, Munoz, Randy, Thiago, Tito, Sokoudji, BJ (lyotos other wins)
Vs
Matyushenki, Vera, Hammil, Obrien, Tex, Gus, Sonnen, Belfort

Not bad while being one of the smallest in the Division.

Rua (Lyoto beat him)

Many people feel Shogun beat Lyoto twice. Don't acknowledge the other controversies without acknowledging this one

Don't forget Lyoto also beat Rich Franklin and Nakamura, and like the Rampage fight was gypped out of a win against Davis.

Actually, if you look at his record he's faced all name fighters save for his first fight against Watanabe. Dimitri Wanderlei isn't exactly known either, but aside from the Machida loss he's 5-1 and was a prospect. In any case that's 23 fights against names, 1 against a good "unknown" fighter, and one against a relative "can" in his first MMA fight.

Weird comparison. Bones is the most dominant LHW champ ever at a time where the relevant LHWs were mostly in the same organization. I dislike him, but he'll go down in the books.

Dunno why MMA fans are so eager to crown legends and all-time greats in a sports that just got out of its diapers. So far Lyoto has proven to be a really really good MMA fighter. Good enough to shortly hold the belt that it seems everyone was just playing with until Jones arrived to take possession.

If you don't consider him an all time great, you're a desilusional hater

When he retires, he will be remembered as being in the same class as the likes of Chuck Liddell, Shogun, Hendo, Rashad, Vitor, JDS, etc....

JDS is an all-time great too now?

What the fuck is wrong with somebody just being very good?

I am just saying that Lyoto has beaten most of Jones's best wins.

He does not however have Jones's consistantcy, but maybe he will at MW.

Is Forrest worth mentioning in the all-time great conversation too then? I mean, I sure don't think so...
