Turns 63 today, so reports my local sports station.

My fav memory was when he beat Greg the hammer Valentine in a steal cage match,a dn Valentine locks himself in the cage and destroys that old school IC belt.

What is yours?
 
Tito was one of my favorite wrestlers growing up. I still remember him being the sole survivor of his Survivor Series '90 match.

And (with no disrespect intended) the recipient of one of Bobby Heenan's greatest (and impossible to get away with nowadays) lines ever:
Heenan: Tito Santana sort of reminds me of a cue ball.
Monsoon: What?
Heenan: Yeah. The harder you hit him, the more English you get out of him.
Monsoon: Oh, will you stop?!
 
Tito Santana is like a cue ball, the more you hit him the more English he gets.
 
Tito was the prototype of what a midcarder career could be, and I'm not saying that as a disparaging remarks. If I was getting into the business, if I don't become Hulk Hogan....ID be more than satisfied having a Chico Santana career.

Tito Santana lost the IC belt in my home town to Greg Valentine.

Wasn't Tito last of the "ethnic" champions in the early 80's, back when the WWF thought they had to do that sort of thing to draw in northeastern cities?
