Today is Bob Marley's birthday. He would have been 75. It's amazing to me how this man has transcended all barriers and remains as popular as ever. Time, age, and race - He conquers them all. He's truly an anomaly in music, and one of the biggest influences in my life..

Bob Marley is my spirit guide through this life, and has taught me many import lessons..

Lets celebrate the Legend by posting some of your favorite songs..

    Early Bob..

The Original Wailers. Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer..

    From his last album..

One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain. So hit me with music..

There are so many, so so many, one of the greatest talents the world will ever know

The Legend collection is probably the greatest compilation album of all time, and that barely scratches the surface of his work

    Possession make you rich?
I don't have that type of richness.
    My richness is life, forever.

Here's an acoustic version of 'Three Little Birds, Ziggy Marley released on a kids album not too long ago. Sounds sweet as ever!

Love that album. The interview clips between tracks can be hard to understand but they have their own cadence and rhythm that lend to the overall sound of the recording.

Anyone ever hear that uptempo disco version of Buffalo Soldier?

    It's bizarre

    Never heard of that. Sounds...interesting.

Speaking of such - I really enjoyed the ambient make-over (resplendent with new age type chirping birds and whatnot) Bill Laswell gave some Marley classics though - his remixed version of Waiting In Vain has become my favourite, surpassing even the original.
