St paddy's day

Had 2 pints of Guinness to finish of night .

Btw any of you Americans big on horse betting?? Over England we have a week where it's huge. Cheltenham week is better than Xmas and New Years .

Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, and the Belmont Stakes.....

In a few words it's from Tuesday to Friday a lot of beer and money and other things :). It's one of my favourite weeks of the year. Such a good laugh with mates.

Kentucky Derby sounds Simair.

Btw any winners? I won £295 today profit

I never understood the appeal of going to the races. I like the look of the racetrack...the whole thing seems kind of like a cultural artifact left over from the Roaring 20s or something.

But why people actually get excited about betting their money every week there is beyond me. Then again, I don't really gamble.

What is this thread about?

Ponies man...ponies!

I'm in the same boat but have a lot of buddies that love go big for the Triple Crown, it's more of a time to get wasted drunk and throw some money down in hope of winning big.

To each their own.

But Cheltenham is once a year ,it's a big thing. Why do people get excited for Xmas, New Years etc. only comes around once the buzz of gambling is great though.

I don't live far from Baltimore and have made it down to Preakness and I can tell you that it has NOTHING to do with horses. We partied in the infield all day, it was just drunken debauchery, we didn't even see a horse.
