International Hamas launches surprise attack on Israel; Israel has declared a state of war. Vol. VII

Who is not being held to the same standards as Israel?
US. we aren't held to the same standard. we don't hate america because we kill innocents in our wars. we don't call every "mistake" we make in war that results in civilian casualties "war crimes". and we don't punish all of our soldiers that make mistakes in war.
I don't know if the IDF is unique in its disregard for the laws of war
their enemy disregards ALL laws of war. they have NO rules of war. none.
, but whether they are or not is irrelevant to the crimes they commit and the need to punish those offenders.
it's not a crime to make mistakes in a war. you have to prove intent.
And the lie that the medical staff were not clearly marked? Does the IDF only pick soldiers with poor night vision?
how's your "night vision"?

OK, so because the US isn't held to the same standard, every other country should get a free pass? Even though the US already uses its power to protect Israel from being impacted by the standards that could be enforced.

That's child logic: ""Well Bobby got away with it, so I should too." Come on.
their enemy disregards ALL laws of war. they have NO rules of war. none.
And as a result they are a designated terror group most of the time and cut off from the banking system and other perks that Israel gets access too, not to mention their lives are frequently forfeit. Do you want Israel to be held to that standard?
it's not a crime to make mistakes in a war. you have to prove intent.
They broke orders for rules of engagement and killed civilians. They also covered up the crime with lies and omissions.
how's your "night vision"?
Not bad. You're ducking here. Why isn't Israel punishing blatant perjury and false statements?

Another denial comes tumbling down.

To say when this war started, there were dozens of people on here saying it was unavoidable and completely fair that Israel would kill loads of innocent people, I've never really understood why the IDF just fucking lie constantly.

Because it somehow works for them. Its how theyve operated since day one utilising the media to lie for them..

New details on killing of paramedics in Gaza appear to contradict IDF’s account
Haaretz report comes as supreme court gives Israeli PM more time to respond to affidavit from fired Shin Bet chief
New developments have come to light in the killing of 15 Palestinian medics and rescue workers by Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip last month, with evidence reportedly contradicting the Israel Defense Forces’ claim that soldiers did not fire indiscriminately at the medical workers.

The Israeli daily Haaretz reported on Wednesday that its analysis of the IDF’s own materials collected as part of an internal investigation into the incident contradicted the army’s claim that soldiers did not shoot indiscriminately at Palestinian ambulances and a fire engine in the early hours of 23 March.

Instead, Haaretz said, soldiers fired continuously at the vehicles for three and a half minutes from close range despite the aid workers’ attempts to identify themselves.

The family of Assad al-Nsasrah, one of two survivors of the attack, filed a petition on Wednesday with Israel’s high court seeking details of his detention in Israel. Israeli authorities confirmed last week that Nsasrah was in custody, but under emergency war legislation the whereabouts of detainees from Gaza can be kept secret and they can be barred from meeting a lawyer for 45 days. Nsasrah is not allowed legal counsel until 7 May.

[ oh what the fuck ..... good luck to him ]]

The Shin Bet has been investigating Netanyahu’s close aides for alleged breaches of national security, including leaking classified documents to foreign media, and allegedly taking money from Qatar, which is known to have given significant financial aid to Hamas.

In his affidavit, Bar accused Netanyahu of moving to sack him after his refusal to fulfil requests including spying on anti-government protesters and helping the premier postpone his testimony in his criminal trial. Bar also claimed it had been made clear to him that he was expected to be “personally loyal” to the prime minister.

@kflo even if they were blind and couldnt see the emergancy lights from 20 metres. [ in pitch darkness lierally the only things with lights..... 3 and a half minutes.... of shooting from close range..... with no return fire.

Is a long time to be shooting at anything thqt doesnt fire back. Its irrelevant to me if iys intentional or not honestly. Its a warcrime and those fuckers should all be charged at the very very very least with criminal neglience . I bet if " accidents " were treated like a crime or the heinous actions they were and there were repercussions.... countless " accidents " wouldnt have occured

I'm honestly glad the UK has finally started prosecuting it's own war crimes.

It's weasily and scummy to deny, deny, deny until you're absolutely proven to be lying, and I absolutely detest that about any armed forces.

Hopefully in a decade or two they actually do start punishing these psychopaths committing arbitrary and completely obvious war crimes in plain sight.

But it won't be any time soon, if ever.

We’ve seen this in the courts before with the police. The amount of shots once you start shooting to kill aren’t really the issue. Once they started they aren’t waiting to hear if they have return fire. They are making sure they complete the job and the “threat” is eliminated. The mistake was starting to fire in the first place, not the duration and amount of shots. You can believe it’s criminal if you want. You can believe they just wanted to kill pals that night. But they didn’t just kill everyone who came through. Do you think it’s plausible they thought it was Hamas?

And I agree that they obviously should have greater certainty of a threat before opening fire. But I also know that they have a very difficult enemy to fight without making mistakes or taking risk.

I think this looks like part of a pattern which has seen the Israelis target medical services in Gaza over the last 18 months. Killing the medics is far more effective than killing random civilians if your looking to make Gaza as unliveable as possible.

Again the idea that because the Israeli's aren't just slaughtering everyone they can it somehow proves that ethnic cleansing and genocide aren't happening is obviously incorrect, the Israelis are having to operate within certain limits so that arguments such as this can be made so that in turn western support for what's happening can be carried on

Of course it is plausible they thought they were hamas. But claiming they were after the fact and attempting to lliterally bury the evidence puts it in the realm of criminal regardless the original intent.

Do i believe it was purposeful? Cant tell you . Im not in their head.

But we can both agree surely on somethings regardless the intent ?

What occured was the unjust killings of medics . By a military that tried its best to bury the facts. [ thats intentional ] Plenty of mistakes have been made throughout this war. A bit of repercussions for innocent deaths earlier may have prevented some that occured now. Not punishing this means another mistake is just around the corner

We dropped just one 2,000-pound bomb in the fight against ISIS and carefully investigated its use afterward. On the other hand, the IDF has dropped around five hundred 2,000-pound bombs on Gaza. We blindly trust them that every flattened neighborhood is Hamas.

Don't compare the US Military to the IDF.

<28> <28> <28>
Small correction in the article now:
Clarification: A previous version of this story stated that only one 2,000-pound bomb had been used by the US in the war on ISIS. This has been corrected.

It probably got more clicks because of it, so i guess it served its purpose

lol. YOU ignore his own words.

i have said they fucked up and underestimated the evil of hamas many times. they should have taken them out, offensively, a long time ago. of course, you would have condemned them for that anyway. without question.

just like you would have unquestionably condemned them if they kept funding out of gaza.

I'm taking his words at face value.

They fucked up by helping to fund Hamas for years. For some reason, you keep wanting to make excuses for that obvious fuck up.

this is what i mean.......and WE weren't fighting a terrorist org that built its infrastructure underground.

During the first 20 years of the war on terror, the United States conducted more than 91,000 airstrikes across seven major conflict zones and killed up to 48,308 civilians, according to a 2021 analysis by Airwars, a United Kingdom–based air-strike monitoring group.

A 2021 investigation by New York Times reporter Azmat Khan revealed that the American air war in Iraq and Syria was marked by flawed intelligence and inaccurate targeting, resulting in the deaths of many innocents. Out of 1,311 military reports analyzed by Khan, only one cited a “possible violation” of the rules of engagement. None included a finding of wrongdoing or suggested a need for disciplinary action, while fewer than a dozen condolence payments were made.
You are comparing 20 years of Warfare to 2 years Warfare. In that span of time, the US Military skull fucked the Taliban, al Qaeda, and did so without flattening the entire country then we shifted to Iraq. Rinse and repeat. Despite all of that, most Americans don't look at the War on Terror as something to thump their chest about...

About 420,000 Palestinians - 20% of Gaza's population - are estimated to have been displaced again over the past five weeks, with almost 70% of the territory under active Israeli evacuation orders, within Israeli-designated "no-go areas", or both, according to the UN.

The IDF has said the evacuation orders are in accordance with the obligation under international law to take feasible precautions to mitigate harm to civilians by providing advance warnings prior to attacks.

But the UN has warned that the orders have resulted in the "forcible transfer" of civilians into "ever shrinking spaces where they have little or no access to life-saving services" and continue to be subject to attacks.

In a separate development on Thursday, the IDF acknowledged that Israeli tank fire had killed a Bulgarian working for the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and wounded five other UN staff on 19 March.

The IDF had initially denied responsibility for the strike on a UN guesthouse in the central Gaza town of Deir al-Balah.

We killed more civilians with less justification for war with a lot of the fighting in unpopulated spaces. With no war crimes and limited criminal prosecutions.

War isn’t something to thump your chest about. Winning is the goal of course.

You take some of his words at face value. And dismiss some of his words. You only take the words that support your hate and dismiss the others.

Yes, they fucked up. We agree they should have taken Hamas out earlier and starved Gaza more than they did. You and the far right of Israel are aligned.

Yea because the first thing he said negates the excuses he made later.

Except you are lying (again) about the order.

Nah you making obvious excuses.

All his ministers also said it was to divide the Palestinians so they never get a state. Multiple people in his administration said it.

Imagine actually believing Netanyahu cares about humanitarian reasons after killing tens of thousands of people including women and children 🤣
