had an experience with conservative bigots

So me and my gf went to her cousins bday at her house and her family and some friends were there. They are literally all conservo Christians and the grandparents hate anyone that isn't the same way, example: they wouldn't let her moms "black" friend in the house one time. Needless to say somehow the women of the house brought up the recent story of a doctor who had a sex change and how that person is a freak and will never see their children because they are "sick". Needless to say me and my gf are the oddballs there because we are both very open minded, but anyway after they said they wouldn't let the "it" see their kids, my girlfriend went into another room were all the teenagers were at, and of course all of them agree that the doctor is sick and disgusting, one of the for some reason decided to bring up that she was "the most conservative republican and she hated black people", so after hearing all of the family/friends we decided to leave soon after.

I just find it sick that there are people that are that bigoted and racist and act proud of it and living in NC i see conservo christian bigots all the time.

Cliffs:

-everyone at a bday party was conservative christian bigots
-me and my gf aren't ignorant and can't stand being around them
-i see this type of behavior all the time where i live

Thoughts on it? Or thoughts on stereotypical conservo christians?

I live in Oklahoma, and really only hang out in certain areas so I completely forget what most of this state is like.

I was hired to help open a pizzeria in my hometown, a shitkicker POS meth head town. The kind where if the crooked cops don't fuck you over, the tweakers will. I heard the most fucked up over the top racist and sexist shit.

One of my employees came up and told me about his Swazi tattoo, and I told him I used to fight over that shit and his literal response was a dumbfounded look followed by "but you're white?"
