Anyone here from Mass. know of any good gyms around the Brockton/Bridgewater area. I was thinking of checking out Joe Lauzons gym but haven't heard anything about it yet. All help is appreciated

Go to Joe's gym, he's an awesome guy and will give you a lot of good knowledge.

I know its not in the Brockton/Bridgewater area, but if you can/want to make the trek out to Somerville. Sityodtong, run by Mark DellaGrotte is incredible. Great Muay Thai. Also plenty of jiu jitsu rolling during open mat sessions. I've only gone to the free classes and the open mat sessions (I go to school out in MN) but it was a great environment and very professional.

Also in Newton, there is Gracie Barra, which is a phenomenal bjj gym and they just redid their mat flooring as well. If you didn't know, Kenny Florian trained at Gracie Barra as well. And Roberto Maia is a awesome teacher. I only took a month of classes from them, but they were very very good. After the first two weeks of classes, I had already started rolling with their advanced guys, which is a really good way of getting good.

Not exactly what you were looking for I know, but those are some great places.

Its not in the Brockton/Bridgewater area, but in Newton, MA. there is a great Gracie Barra gym. Roberto Maia is the head instructor there, and he is great. I was only there for a month in the summer, but when I was leaving they were redoing the mats. Kenny Florian started out there as well.

I had read about that one and it was my first choice. Its just a little further than i would like being about a 45 min drive each way.

How far away are you from:
Providence, RI? - Tim Burrill and Mat Santos both have schools in the greater Providence Area.
Fall River, MA? - We have a satellite/sister Santos school in Fall River, I can get you class times if it driveable.
Boston, MA? - I know this blackbelt Thomas (pronounced Toe-Mahs, I think he's hispanic but I never asked) who teaches at Boston Brazilian IIRC, he's a wiz with the gi and super cool, he once gave me and 2 other guys a free mini-seminar just because I asked him what he tapped me with.

Forgive my lack of geographical knowledge, I don't spend too much time in MA, and I'm spoiled living <15 minutes from Santos' and Burrill's BJJ schools.

-Brazilian martial arts center in Somerville. I don't know a ton about them, but they're always a huge team at local tournaments and they do well.
-Mass BJJ. Might be a little bit of a drive but i recommend that school highly. Great instruction, and more importantly a great group of guys. Two blackbelt instructors and there have been black/brown belts there working out both times that i've been there.
-And if you're ever up in NH, come by Renzo NH in Derry or Exeter. I'm from Mass as well and it's actually easier for me to get there due to traffic and everything.

But either way, do your research (seems like you are), and pick a good school. Lauzon's school, Boston BJJ, those are good schools as well i was just naming some other ones to mix it up a bit.
