I'm sorry, Zabit is an entertaining fighter and someone who is truly deserving of the title of one of the most complete martial artists in the sport, but he has two glaring shortcomings that will prevent him from ever becoming the champ at FW. First of all, he is pillow-fisted: he hit Bochniak with everything he had and Bochniak didn't give even a single fuck. Secondly, his gastank is highly suspect as he pretty much gassed out in a 3 rd fight against Bochniak. Zabit will never overcome guys like Volkanovski who will literally break him in half on the feet with monstrous power while stuffing Zabit's TDs or Holloway who will simply drown him via volume striking in a 5rd fight.

He's relatively young in the sport and still improving. You basically said "I remember when Jon Jones was still shitting his pants and needed his momma to help him, he'll never be a good fighter"

Really small sample size to base that off of honestly. Kyle is a tough kid with a savage chin. Zabit is more of a systematic strike with volume than he is a head hunter. Maybe he was a little tired in the 3rd but that was one fight and he keeps improving, he still won't every round decisively vs Kyle including the 3rd. Big picture is he completely dominated that fight.

His defensive boxing is too crisp to get tagged with a bomb like that, he has too many weapons for guys. And unlike Ortega, Zabit transitions from striking to grappling to wrestling to BJJ smoother than anybody at FW. He can literally dominate you wherever you have a weakness.

Time will tell and we will see.
