Gustafsson is looking big. You think he have one more run in him?
pic didn't work man
He'll have a good chance in the geriatric HW division. He'll be the Erick Silva of that weight class. Werdum is a difficult matchup for a lot of HW if you can't get dictate where the fight goes, so I'm willing to look past his loss against Werdum
No pic. My guess is, he looks pretty much the same as always.
So he's coming back at HW. Gus vs Jones 3 is the fight to make.
Was wondering what he was up to...
For only an average record of 18-7, those are some tough ass loses:
Jones x2, Cormier, rumble, Werdum, Anthony Smith, young undefeated Phil Davis
im ready to be disappointed again!
I’ve always felt Gustafson struggled with focus. I hope he is truly back and returns in-shape
Prime Gus vs Jiri would be exciting.
Jiri vs Prime Rumble would be madness.
His volume striking isn't all that effective at HW, he needs to sit on his punches more. Give him Greg Hardy, it's an easy win for him at least.
He's young enough but I don't dare to hope anymore. He needs to show us something to win his fans back.
As much I am Gus fan and think Greg is meh - Greg does have one quality that seems to cause Gus problems.
I can understand losing to Jones DC and Rumble. Maybe even ancient Werdum.
Smith? That night I lost all hope for Gus.
He's half in the game and should stay retired.
Hope the guy is fully committed. I think he can beat a good amount of HWs. Maybe just needed to increase his strength/tdd. I thought he was gonna have his way with werdum, but that seemed to be his issue.
Gus was cool but never complete imo he was kind of also easily figured out, just on some nights he gave more than others. He's good but I think the game has evolved past his style, and like someone else said he doesn't match up well with hws.
Huge gus fan, but I don't believe him. He is one of the biggest disappointments in MMA for me.
No, actually. The average age of the top 10 hw is 33.7, and Gus is 34.
I wish but rather unlikely
