Thought it was a cool stat. Not sure if Gustaffson will try to take this to the ground, but if he does, it seems like he's gonna have pretty big advantage.

I think Rumble's TD is too good for that to happen, but who knows. Either way, I'm still picking Gustaffson for the win. Source below.

If Gustafsson wins, it's by RNC or UD for me. I could see him out-working Rumble and avoiding shots before taking him down and subbing him late on but Johnson will get to him first, IMO.

Gus via RNC is a popular prediction.

zero chance this goes to the ground unless due to someone getting rocked imo

I figured if Gus were to win it'd be by RNC or a gassed out Johnson getting tko'd while flattened out on his stomach. I still think, and hope Rumble takes it.

i dunno about that. if rumble feared the stand up of hardy so much that all he did was wrestle even after all the stand and bang talk, i think he might be nervous to stand with gus as well

Check the Davis fight both ways. This fight will be won on the feet.

I don't think this fight will even touch the ground...This will be a straight up striking battle.

we'll see, i think that was more fear of 1 punch KO power, Gus is more of a bloody you up striker, maybe rumble will be more confident with that

There should be an asterisk next to Rumble's RNC losses that stipulates they were due to gassing, not Melvin Guillard-level sub defence.

It is an interesting stat though.

He didn't gas in the Koscheck fight

I don't even think he gassed in the Vitor fight

Koscheck, maybe I'll concede he was demoralized and gave up, but Rumble gassed hard against Vitor.
