He got head butted, the ref breaking it was BS, he was the better fighter. He got screwed by the system again. .... Really, Gus fans? Really? just accept the loss. Rumble is a friggen beast and won in a clean, solid performance and is better than Gus right now. Give the man his credit, he is a precision power puncher and showcased his devastating striking tonight. I'm sorry it was at the expense of your beloved "Mauler" but its just the way it went. Move on and enjoy watching Rumble steamroll his way to the belt. Let Gus, who is an amazing talent, recover, train harder, get better and work his way to a rematch and see if he can turn the tables.

Tbh Gus was clearly winning the fight before that fluke of a punch.

I heard he caught the Ebola just days before the fight.... But what he really caught was an overhand to the ear.

It was 4am,had the fight taken place at an earlier time he would have murked Rumble...

Nah bro What had happened was that my boy GUS had a pulled ligament in the upper inner, outter, medial, lateral knee and elbow area

Gus is one overrated fighter. He had the fight of his life against Jones and all of a sudden everyone considers him to be one devastating striker. Dude is average and Jones was probably high days before he fought Gus.

He was, but I wouldn't call it a fluke.

Gus definitely had his defense down when it happened, but that is his own fault.

I don't get it. Gus gave Rumble all the credit in the world, and made no excuses...and I haven't really seen a throng of apologist fans posting ridiculous excuses for him.

1. He was too high on himself since the Jones fight.

2. He underestimated Rumble. "He's one-dimensional".

3. It just wasn't his night.

Was joking. Nobody was winning the fight until Rumble unleashed his inner beast.

- it was 3:45AM local time

- it was bullshit that Rumble clocked him with that counter to the kick Gus threw when they were touching gloves, Gus wasn't ready.

- Staph infection

- Rumble is too big for LHW (and MW and WW) because he fought Arlovski at HW and he walks around at 230+

Don't forget thin hand wraps and (insert number here)% effort.

Yeah nobody really did anything too dominant, but gus was landing more frequently with better shots while evading rumbles.

Then Rumble hit him with the biggest shot of the fight, walked him down and got the finish.
