I can see his style/ power/ speed winning him the title there. He kills Stipe.

Gus couldnt even handle Humbles power. He cant handle the powerful HWs who could actually KO glass jawed Arlovski. His speed is the only issue for them but his power wont be as effective.

He loses to at least half the top 10 and Reem, Fab and Stipe murk him easily.

He beats Werdum and Rothwell, Hunt too.

And I think a fight with Lewis would be fun.

  5. lol Stipe is just a bigger better version of Gus and Im a fan of Gus. Stipe would wreck him. Better boxing and far better wrestling plus hes bigger physically.

Got stomped by Rumble at LHW.

Would probably have his chin checked by pretty much all of the top 10 at heavyweight.

couldn't "even"? You say that as if Rumble isn't maybe the hardest hitter in the whole sport.

Gus would have height and reach on most heavyweights, while being faster, a better striker, and having a great chin. I think he could be HW champion.

He would get murked at HW. I doubt he wants to be just a fighter.. if he can't be champion soon at LHW i see him retiring. And there is no chance he can get even close to a title at HW.

Humble doesnt hit as hard as the hardest hitter HWs. We saw how his power looked against glass jawed Andrei when he resorted to humping his legs for half the fight.

Gus moving up to HW would be interesting. But every fight would have to be his best performance.

would he? Overreem, JDS,Werdum and stipe are all same size as him basically. rothwell is bigger. he'd have adv over Cain, but i suspect he'd get wrecked by Cain. wouldn't mind seeing him try it, he's sort of stagnant at LHW. But i don't see him winning a title.

It's not by much but he does. The average height and reach of the division is 75 and 78 respectively. Gus is at 77 and 79. He's taller than everyone in the top 10 except for Travis Browne. He's got reach on everyone except Browne, Lesnar, Rothwell, Reem, Miocic.

not sure that would make up for being much less strong. plus, stipe, overeem, JDS and werdum are all 6'4 and he's 6'5. thats not a big difference. Like i said, it would be fun to see given his current status at LHW. But i dont see it going his way. against top 5.

I'm going to point out that either you're new to combat sports, or trolling. Which is it?

I don't think he'd be much less strong. He currently probably fights weighing 220-something. He'd probably gain some mass at HW. And height and reach helps with leverage. Leverage is important in strength as well as just mass. It's partly why Gus is such a good anti-wrestler. He basically drew with Jones and DC, and they're as elite as anyone at HW. I think the big 4 at LHW would all be top 10 HW's easily, and one of them would probably be champion.

    Gus` reach is 81,5.

On topic, he was recently asked about this and he said he is too small for HW and does not have any plans to move up.
