Ha! Did Gunnar and Conor formally agree to go their separate ways? With a guy like Khabib on the horizon, having Nelson to train with is a huge asset.
In the past couple of years, Conor made a multitude of public appearances with Gunnar and all of a sudden, I was unable to find anything linking them which made me wonder. I probably should have dug a little more before posting, as I found this... "Speaking with MMAjunkie, Kavanagh said Nelson (15-2-1 MMA, 6-2 UFC), who pulled out of the scheduled welterweight bout with Kim (21-3-1 MMA, 12-3 UFC) after suffering a freak injury at a UFC open workout ahead of the event, is already back in the gym" Taken from: With Gunnar Nelson back training, coach wants Dong Hyun Kim fight rescheduled for early 2017 I guess that clears things up...
Gunnar will never be a true contender at WW, too small for his style. He should drop. And if that means they don't train together and face each other then so be it.
